The Shotgun Blog
Monday, January 31, 2011
I just wanted to inform everyone - or at least those interested - that I'll no longer be contributing to The Shotgun. I will continue to write (as often as usual) at my personal blog The Gods of the Copybook Headings. I've certainly appreciated the opportunity to write here at the Western Standard, however I believe it is time to move on.
All the best,

Whenever there is a breakup someone has to take the blame. It was me wasn't it? I hope it wasn't something I said.
Seriously, this has been one of my go to blogs. I will miss your intellect and prose.

I've always enjoyed reading your work on here. Thanks, and I'll be sure to follow your personal blog as well.

While blogs come and go, the WS blog was ruined by Brock, Jaworski and Watson, especially that cunt Brock.

So long Publius......are those crickets I hear?

I often enjoyed reading your stuff Pub, any idea though where Matthew Johnston went? Does he still own WS site and where is he? I have not seen him post in a VERY long time?

Seems like an odd coincidence that your departure coincides with several cross-postings on small dead animals. I guess your star is rising.

Good move, Publius.
No sense casting your pearls before the 10 people who still visit here.
Cheers and good luck to you.

As others I have much appreciated your posts which showed a lot of insight and were well written. While I have not always shared the same views as some of the contributors to the Shotgun, it would be a shame to see it die completely. Best wishes.

Shift your eyes, then right. If there are ads in the columns, there's still a heartbeat.
I agree Publius has provided some fine posts, but boy are they long! I think he has a future writing novels.
When you think about it, there are hundreds of opinionated bloggers who could spice up this brand, and turn it into a big seller. It seems the site owners have other interests, or are sticking to their ideals rather than trying to compromise for commercial success.
Really, if someone like Shane Matthews had a regular gig, he'd be as popular as Hannity. Hell, they already have a wine critic, and a car guy. All they need to do is block people like me from harassing them.

All the best, Publius. It's been quite a ride.

Does anyone know where Matthew Johnston went??? Anyone????

Now there's lots of time to dicuss Marc Emery- who, according to his blog. seems to have completely out of his mind. The Prison Warden personally sits at the table n the visiting room, monitoring the conversation when his stoner wife visits.
I guess all that street resistance drug activism and orchestrated pot Ninja swarming Canadian MPP offices makes her a candidate for a jail break..well, she's a foreigner drug abuser possibly sitting on $10,000,000.00 of hidden contraband proceeds. It would be a LuLu if it happened, Oh ya, all that potential felony , we forgot. Oppsie
