How big was that anti-Coulter mob?
As someone who was there, on the ground, there is no way AT ALL that the mob was that big. I don't know where those numbers are coming from, but I would estimate about 50 hardcore types (the filthy hippie variety), along with maybe twice that number of more passive participants.
When they infiltrated the crowd, they may have amplified their presence a bit, but that was just an illusion.
Even if you included the entire crowd of people there to hear Coulter speak, it might barely -- barely! -- approach 2,000.
Even that I doubt. So where is the Toronto Star getting its information from?

Gee, i don't know? Odd that is! Try @ezralevant 's Twitter stream for the "2,000" number, that's where. More people = more scary for the 'terrified' Ann, i think he wagered on that for the laughable legal case.
Really more people may end up having more "perceived" agreement with the University Of Ottawa students being smeared by her all over the national and international press and no i am not talking about the wee very controlled by police protesters.
When police say "we cannot guarantee her safety" then that does not mean they said "shut it down" that was Ezra's choice and Ann's people..I screen shot saved where the press is dredging the numbers from. I also screen shot saved this post.
Welcome to the age of citizen reporting with cameras and eyes to see and record events. Free speech IS truly alive and well!

Coulter's take on the University of Ottawa ......
"Bush League" ........ says it all!
The Lonon Free Press this morning doesn't carry the Coulter Levant shut down at the "Bush league" University of Ottawa.

Ann Coulter, yesterdays biggest joke, what a sad woman.

Terrence, I wager it was supplied by the radical extremists, in order to inflate their number and mislead. Remember the typical pattern of how some of the most oppressive and totalitarian regimes like to call themselves "The People's" whatever when in fact the people have no voice.

Its the weak, lame, and utterly useless press at fault again. Gotta sell papers you know. Don't worry about facts, go for the gut. Good thing the internet exists, we stand a chance of getting truth instead of calculated spin.

The 2,000 number came from Ezra as did the fib that the police shut down the demo. I guess the lesson is take anything Levant says with a ton of salt.
