Gerry Nicholls on Canada in Copenhagen

President of Libertas Post, Gerry Nicholls, points out on CTV that Canada shouldn't care what people say about us around the world. He claims that Canada should care primarily about our own economic interests. Jean Lapierre is shocked that we should care more about jobs than about people's jobs than David Suzuki's good opinion.

How dare Mr. Harper stand up for Canada's sovereignty? Or is it only good when the Liebral/NDP/Green Party does it?

Moreover, why are we still discussing this topic? The very "scientists" tasked to prove it have been exposed as frauds. Even if they had been honest, the proposed resolution is a scam that would not have solved it with all the money in the world. Mr. Harper deserves the highest accolades for preventing it, while Suzuki et al should be condemned for their shortsightedness.

So the National Post has a story on how Canada recieved the Collosal Fossil award.

These groups have lost the last ounce of credibility they ever had. Are we to believe that are environmental record is worse than the USA, RUSSIA, CHINA? The only reason they gave us this award consecutivly is becasue they know it will recvieve lots of play in our UN-BIASED
media!!
Are we really suppose to belive that China and Russian can be trusted to make any cuts?

They gave it to Canada because they believed it was the weaker target. By embarrassing Mr. Harper's administration with the title of Fossil, they hoped to shake him loose and support Kyoto. Boy, were they ever wrong! I pray that he never gives in on this colossal scam.

Considering how socialist the US has become under the benevolent gaze of Mr. Obama, it is inevitable that Canadians and their wealth will get sucked into the vortex too.
How the silly charades by these nasty little "entertainers" get media space at all is beyond me. Actually it is not beyond me at all. Our media are so left wing, they would gladly help shut down our industries and way of life in a heartbeat.

All the leftish ideologies are, and always have been, anti-people. They care nothing whatsoever about the welfare of people. In fact they do the very opposite of what they preach. They preach tolerance while being the most intolerant of any group. They preach compassion while having no compassion for people and their welfare. They cared nothing about destroying the livelihood of native people, when they sought to ban trapping and hunting. They want to eliminate humanity from the face of the earth, while excluding themselves. This ideology is pathological and clearly a form of serious mental illness.

Its about money you fools. It has nothing to do with right/left ideology. They just suck you in to believing it. This is just another way to fill the treasury and control the masses. The new religion. Pretty soon we will be told to worship a tree. If Harper successfully resists this nonsense I might actually gain some respect for him again. Not enough to vote for him, but I would despise him a little less. Though I doubt he will, too much money to be made. Merry Christmas All. Hope you all have a great holiday.

When in your wildest dreams did you ever think we would be paying hefty taxes on absolutely nothing ??. Carbon trading is already a multi-billion dollar industry and already on the stock exchange.Wall street , bankers and politicians just love the whole concept. There are riots in the streets because we are not shutting down oil and gas plants...the only industries showing a income to keep this country solvent.
The world has gone nuts and all our politicians are pandering to these foam at the mouth, granola crunching tree huggers with promises to increase the cost of living to the already overtaxed workers. All based on junk science.
From a entertainment standpoint it just does'nt get any better than this.

Steve is partly correct in it being about money. The whole concept of carbon credits was hatched by a guy from Enron. While money is a big motivator, I say it is about greed for both money and power. I also agree that it crosses party lines in that it is neither Left nor Right. Having said that I stand by my previous comment on the ideologies of the Left being anti-people.

Yes, Steve is partially right about it being about the money. It is about money and control.
And Alain is right about Leftist ideologies being de facto anti-people.
And I still stand behind my own observation that the people who have climbed on this bandwagon of climate change without any reservations have been predominantly socialist in outlook.

Ed, right you are. I find without an exception all the useful idiots jumping on the climate change bandwagon are of leftist persuasion. The ones standing to gain wealth and power however are simply your typical gangster/mafia types.

Its about money you fools.
It has nothing to do with right/left ideology.
~Steve Bottr

It is about the money.
However, it does have a lot to do with right/left ideology.
Leftist issues are almost always funded with money coerced from the right.
If it wasn't for Leftist support, the Climate Crisis would have been exposed as a hoax years ago and we wouldn't have to worry about the money aspect because it would already be a dead issue.
