Justin Trudeau on the Tories' anti-Ignatieff attack ads

Young Justin Trudeau, Liberal MP and Prime-Minister-in-waiting, has something to say about the Tory attack ads. Just more evidence, he suggests in his serious voice, that this government is "foundering and flailing, flapping and failing":

How refreshing to see Grits trying the completely novel tactic of wrapping themselves in the Flag of Pearson instead of returning to their tired and predictable playbook.

Wow, what was that?

This is my attempt to comment on this:

Justin.ca? Wow, he has his father's arrogance.

Since when does he - or any Liebral - care about "workers" and "jobs" outside of election time?

Isn't it a massive contradiction to use partisan rhetoric to unite the population? Not to the "natural governing party"!

I can't take more than 20 seconds of this drivel.

Sounded like a lot of production(or not) went into this before hand, seemed rather scripted, took away from its "umph" a bit. Not that the Liberals are any better, or would be getting much different results than the tories would

Note that Justin does not say Iggy's name, but says Harper twice. Is he truly supporting his chief?

Justin can kiss my ass.

There is nothing wrong with a Canadian working outside the country, but true patriot love is taking the time to vote in Canadian elections through the Canadian elections act for expats. Also tax evation should be investigated.

Who is Mr Ignatieff lying to when he tells Americans he is American? Is he lying to Americans or is he lying to Canadians? Maybe he is lying to the brits.

Why would a diehard Liberal vote for the Labour party in the UK? This party has been accused of terrible scandals, stealing from the tax payers.

I remember the sad day of Justin's brother in Nelson. After 30 years of destruction of my province caused by the Turds, Pearsons, and Cretin, we went to a pub and said cheers.

Basically, no one outside of Ontario matters as a human being to the Liebral/NDP/Green Party. While it is perfectly acceptable for one of them to live abroad, expatriates from elsewhere matter even less.

The best thing about not living in Canada: no CBC, no Toronto people, and no rank dishonesty. From elsewhere, Canada appears fake, phony and lame.

I hate to say it, but JT comes up horribly phoney. And he's a statist, too.

Mike: true, but sadly it WILL work on the eastern voters. After all, his dad made them rich at the expense of the westerners. When Mulroney tried to balance things, they turned on him.

I cant believe the brotherly love Did both sides make mistakes I say yes nobody is perfect stop the fighting start acting like Canadians from coast to coast and start thinking about our brothers and sisters from B.C.to P.E.I
Its United We Stand Divided We Fall
Have we not learned anything ? Have we not evolved? shame on us

Posted by: Stella | 2009-05-17 7:50:26 PM

Stella says united we stand, divided we fall which is a basic truth. I just wonder though if Stella has given any thought to how the Liberals have divided us through identity politics, founded on multiculturalism. I can muster nothing but contempt for the Liberals beginning with Pearson who replaced our flag with a meaningless Liberal emblem to Trudeau who destroyed what was left.

BC to PEI? What about Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick??? How typical to leave people out. Let's face it: only those between Windsor and Hull even matter as human beings to the Liebrals. Only Mr. Harper cares for all Canadians.

"Only Mr. Harper cares for all Canadians."

OK, now we know who ZP really is, he's Canada's Public Sector Integrity Commissioner. No need for self-reliance, personal responsibility or private property--under the guidance of our benevolent leader, the state will care for us all.

Uh, no. I'm just me analyzing the alternatives to Harper - each a paid agent of the corporations of Toronto who genuinely threaten individual liberty for all those not living within sight of the CN Tower. While he has done things worth criticising - like that whole Arctic defense scheme - he's way ahead of the opposition, who would gladly steamroll non-Ontarians into the muck. I wish others could see that. At the very worst, he's the lesser of two evils. At best, he's the only game in town.

Posted by: Zebulon Pike | 2009-05-17 10:07:33 PM

Zeb,

The first thing I know about people who argue in favour of the lesser of evils, is that they don't really have any concern about individual rights, private property and capitalism. These are conservatives, I am a liberal.

Nice little bit of scripted rhetoric.
He's well on his way to becoming top Liberal snake oil salesman.

What does it mean when informative truth ads are called "personal attack ads"? The truth hurts?
