Oh I am so calling in and crucifying you for your long, deep, passionate support of open immigration. It is the stupidest goddamned thing imaginable and I wish you had the economic training to appreciate that.

Former NDP candidate for Kingston? Why not, I guess, since Trotsky is unavailable. *GROAN* What could a failed female NDP politician possibly tell me that might be remotely interesting or intelligent? Nothing!

Heh, 3 leftist gay militant open immigration supporters, some "debate"!

Just in case you get through call screening, I'll be sure to keep my right finger trained on the DROP CALL button.

"Just in case you get through call screening, I'll be sure to keep my right finger trained on the DROP CALL button. "

LOL, you're such a *****. You are, in fact, an open immigration supporter and I am entirely within bounds calling you on it.

How are you enjoying the Tamil Tiger terrorist rallies so far? Annoying? Not annoying enough? You do realize these people have absolutely zero respect for Canadians, yes? That they are using you as pawns? And they are holding the city of Toronto hostage until they get what they want: Canadian blood spilled in Sri Lanka?

Whose fault is that Mike? The Pope's? No you retard, it is the fault of dickless progressives like you sucking up to each and every ethnic group and ignoring what they are doing to my country in lieu of attacking white Canadian born and raised Christians. Real brave pal, brilliant too.

Brock is an English surname, and if you think these people like you and are your friend remember this: the sun never sets on grudges against the British Empire.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 7:45:26 AM

Your Better,

I have no idea what you're going on about. It's such non sequitor it's making my head spin.

Posted by: Mike Brock | 2009-04-30 8:22:20 AM

"Heh, 3 leftist gay militant open immigration supporters, some "debate"!" Are you implying Kathy Shaidle is any of these things?

Posted by: Charles | 2009-04-30 8:33:15 AM

"Are you implying Kathy Shaidle is any of these things?"

I'm not implying it, I'm saying it straight up: Kathy Shaidle is a leftist gay militant open immigration supporter

Show me a post where Shaidle specifically denounces open immigration, and not just in passing, and I'll withdraw the accusation. I don't think she has but I haven't read all of her posts.

Leftist? Sure, she is an Ignatieff supporter who supported the Liberals last election and seems to hate Conservatives and Harper more than actual declared Liberals.

Gay militant? Definitely. She does criticize gays, I'll give her that, but check out her posts on bilious harridan Chris Reid; at the end of the day, she'll align herself with The Grand Anti-Straight White Male Coalition every time. I use the term "militant" advisedly, btw, she's an organizer for the JDL, probably the most violently anti-free speech organization in Canada.

Has she even mentioned the fact that Tamils have taken over cities in her own country, including her own? No? Why do you suppose that may be?

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 8:50:40 AM

Your Better,

Next you'll be telling me you're getting your information from my sabotaged Wikipedia entry.

I am not an organizer for the JDL. I have never attended a single one of their meetings, although I get their email newsletter. I get lots of newsletters.

The Tamils have not 'taken over the cities' so I haven't posted on that. Others have posted on them taking over our STREETS. Others saw the demonstrations, not me. I don't post on things just because everyone else does. That would be pretty stupid.

I don't know the difference between 'openly denouncing' something and 'denouncing it in passing.' I denounce open immigration all the time; I guess you are too dense to pick it up just because I have never used. those. actual. words.

Iggy is my MP. He knocked on my door during the last campaign and I talked to him for five minutes. He struck me as a bit of a phoney and I posted that. I did not vote for him and never would. I just called him a bunch of names the other day.

I criticize radical left gay activists constantly. What part of my continuing series 'Dear Gays, We're Getting Pretty Sick of You Actually' didn't you get. Chris is a gay conservative and gun owner. That makes him cool. What do you want me to say? 'Chris, stop ****ing dudes'?? How effective would that be?

What a dingbat you are. Jezuz.

"I denounce open immigration all the time"

Bullshit. Let's see a link. Let's see several links, since you denounce it all the time.

You're obviously an expert on my site. find them yourself! You're a moron.

Posted by: Kathy Shaidle | 2009-04-30 11:06:48 AM

Wow - I have one thing to say to you, Your Better: you're nuts. Or, in more typical internet comment forum parlance: your nuts. Maybe you could change your pseudonym to that. Though since your reading comprehension is so obviously fucked, you've probably just interpreted what I've written as a sexual proposition. I mean, you DO seem to have some issues.

Posted by: rick mcginnis | 2009-04-30 11:09:26 AM

It's not enough that she's denouncing it now, Your Better?

I'm torn on immigration. Some libertarians, including Hans Hoppe, oppose open immigration while some libertarians, including Walter Block, support open immigration. Both apply libertarian principles and come to difference conclusions.

This article is a good summary of this debate:

http://www.mises.org/journals/jls/13_2/13_2_4.pdf

It should be a great show.

Posted by: Matthew Johnston | 2009-04-30 11:13:49 AM

"Wow - I have one thing to say to you, Your Better: you're nuts."

Oh dear, a baby boomer MSM columnist thinks I'm nuts, that really, really hurts. Try doing research for a change. A third of immigrants don't even file income taxes because, if we are to believe the media, they "don't know how to". 30% of male immigrants in their twenties leave Canada within 5 years - why do you suppose that is?

I confess it annoys me that I take the time to research this stuff and pig-ignorant PC chilled boomers and libtards can only shout insults.

"It's not enough that she's denouncing it now, Your Better?"

She hasn't, yet. And if she does so only at bayonet point, when cornered, then I'm hardly convinced she means it. She's an open immigration supporter to the bone, so is Brock. At a time when Canada's GDP just dropped 15% in a quarter their genius plan is to import a record number of people from the poorest, most violent countries imaginable, and not let them work for 3 years while their paperwork gets settled. Not a single f*cking person in the entire f*cking blogopshere, or media, has ever criticized this state of affairs - and I'm the one who is nuts, if Boomer Boy is to be believed. Okay.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 11:27:38 AM

I would say that Mises is to economics like Ayn Rand is to philosophy, but that comparison might not have the same devastating effect in this particular room as it might elsewhere....

Posted by: Renee Stephen | 2009-04-30 11:29:37 AM

"a baby boomer MSM columnist..."

Wow. Wrong on the first count, and as of February, wrong on the second.

"their genius plan is to import a record number of people from the poorest, most violent countries imaginable..."

I'm sorry - Mike and Kathy have advocated this? Amazing. I'd hate for you to read the instructions for lighting a barbecue, YB, because you'd obviously end up drowning by the time you were done, so Oliver Sacks-like is your sensory dyslexia. You've singlehandedly promoted yourself from troll to troglodyte in a few posts.

Unbelievable.

"Posted by: Renee Stephen | 2009-04-30 11:29:37 AM"

OK I checked out your site, you're not the worst NDPer I've seen.

I'd like to thank you for your support of open immigration. Why? Half a million highly religious misogynists, "homophobes", and "racists" arriving in Canada annually nearly mitigates the $18 billion+ a year we blow on open immigration, if you take a long term view. All that you believe in is doomed; can I tell you how excited that makes me? If you think Coren is a chauvinist, hooo boy, you're in for one big surprise.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 11:40:41 AM

Open immigration in a libertarian state (oxymoron?) is a logical element. Open immigration in a welfare state is cultural and economic suicide. The same reasoning can be applied to drug legalization. Cherry-picking elements of libertarianism for immediate consumption may be incompatible with a desirable state.

Posted by: John Chittick | 2009-04-30 11:44:23 AM

Rick, do you have anything to add to the convo besides shouting insults? A statistic? Guess math isn't your bag. A narrative at least? Anything? Kathy is a big girl and she doesn't need your White Knighting, now piss off.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 11:45:58 AM

YB, there's no reason to provide statistics, because you're not making any sense. Nothing you're saying bears any relationship to reality, and no amount of reasoning will work, so it's better to just make fun of you. You're obviously besotted with an image of yourself as the only living conservative left in the country, so perhaps it's better to leave you to your delusion.

Posted by: rick mcginnis | 2009-04-30 11:50:12 AM

"YB, there's no reason to provide statistics, I'm fairly dim and can't understand your big words and numbers. I just shout insults at conservatives on the internet, pay no attention to me. Did I mention I couldn't be more effete if I were handing out free passes to my ass down at the bus station?"

That was a pretty clear admission. Enjoy your next gig writing male escort ads for Xtra Weekly, sweetie, I think it will be a much better fit.

We need immigration because our younger generations are not producing enough children to sustain our country. We DO need to select the immigrants that will help us the most. There is no room in Canada for people that do not want to be Canadian. Leave the old cultures where they come from. That is what they are trying to escape by coming here. Canada should be for CANADIANS !

Posted by: Bob Devine | 2009-04-30 12:05:59 PM

Wow. And i thought Bizarro world existed only in comic books.

Kathy? A leftist gay militant open immigration supporter?! Only in that special corner of crazyville...the one reserved for victims of medical experiments gone wrong...and clowns.

Posted by: Wonder Woman | 2009-04-30 12:47:50 PM

"We need immigration because our younger generations are not producing enough children to sustain our country."

That's not true at all, we have the highest population growth rate in the G8 and would continue to increase in population until 2025 if we froze immigration today. I know, you hate facts and figures, I just had to throw that out there.

Retiring boomers will just have to make do with less, don't destroy my country so you can live beyond your means and in a style you haven't earned. We'll talk about the half trillion dollars you owe my generation and the next in another thread.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 1:01:34 PM

Should be an interesting show...I can hardly wait for Kathy to reveal this hitherto hidden side.

Posted by: Jay Currie | 2009-04-30 1:28:14 PM

Still a few hours before the show, lots of time to find all of those posts (that don't exist) where Kathy criticizes open immigration.

How about you Currie? You've been blogging for years, surely you can show me a link or two where you criticize open immigration? Wonder Woman? Can I see a link? Anyone? Can anyone provide me with any link where any individual in Canada has ever criticized open immigration, ever? I'll post nekkid pics of my girlfriend if you need motivation...

Still, we don't need to see it.

Aw, come on. Lighten up. At least I didn't call you a fascist.

And everyone in this thread knows who started with the incivility.

Posted by: Terrence Watson | 2009-04-30 5:05:56 PM

Besides, don't you want your hand to be an instrument for smashing teh ghey? Why would you take that as an insult?

In another thread, you got perilously close to declaring war on teh ghey. I was simply expressing my hope that your hands are up to the task of carrying out your vicious purge.

Posted by: Terrence Watson | 2009-04-30 5:09:42 PM

"...We need immigration because our younger generations are not producing enough children to sustain our country..."

Nah, that's not true. You mean we need it to produce enough to maintain boomers in the style they've become accustomed to.

"...There is no room in Canada for people that do not want to be Canadian. Leave the old cultures where they come from..."

Why would they do that? Because it would make you feel better? If you moved to another country for better paying work would you cast aside your family's culture, religion and beliefs in order to adopt that of the locals? I mean, really, think about what you're saying here. The only hope for anything resembling what you're talking about is that their children and grandchildren are so corrupted by the culture of consumption that they cease to believe in or care about much of anything, though I suspect an aggrieved tribalism will survive even then. There's your best case scenario.

"...That is what they are trying to escape by coming here..."

No, mostly they're just looking for more in the way of prosperity and material comfort than they could get back home, which is understandable.

"...Canada should be for CANADIANS!..."

Ha, yeah, well... good luck with that. I mean, I'd love to see it, but the electorate is filled with fools and cowards. They'll continue to cast loyalty to their home and people aside for cheap labor and social acceptability and be shouted down as racists by their fellows anytime they deviate. Caught between the suspicion that their country is being taken from them and their people replaced on the one hand, and the continual reminders from their leaders that such thoughts are evil and those expressing them not only need, but deserve, to be personally and professionally destroyed, they'll take the path of least resistance and think as they're told. Besides, things won't go completely to shit for another decade or two... who wants to suffer today for what won't come due til tomorrow? Not us, we'll just have another round of lies, thanks. Think of it as pillow talk, or lubrication maybe. Lie back and think of the economy.

Posted by: battletoad | 2009-04-30 5:20:35 PM

"In another thread, you got perilously close to declaring war on teh ghey."

It may look that way from your perspective, I think of it more as fighting back in self defense against a vicious aggressor who has been attacking my side for a long time now. It's not teh ghey per se, it's the extremely tight coupling of teh ghey with teh Marxist. It's an issue, it's well documented, and the gays I debate at 4chan have no problem at all acknowledging it.

When I was closer to your age and much more handsome I got along fine with gays. Worked in restaurants with them for years, got invited to their parties even. Strange how many years later they are hostile to me on sight, why do you suppose that might be? It's because I don't jam as much tacky shit identifying me as a liberal (tattoos, earings, ribbons, wristbands, bone through nose, etc.)on my personage as possible, among other reasons. Try to put yourself in the shoes of an average (nearing) middle aged guy for a moment. Actually, don't bother, let's just do battle, gays are outnumbered 19 to 1, best of luck to them.

Still waiting to read all of these post"s" of Kathy's where she opposes open immigration. I'll tell you right now, they don't exist.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 5:58:38 PM

Wow ... I never thought for a minute my simple question would lead to this. Anyway, if Shaidle is left-wing I shudder to think what YB/No Commies considers right-wing.

Posted by: Charles | 2009-04-30 6:02:30 PM

I means seriously YB, did you forget to take your Zyprexa this morning? If so, that voice in your head is lying to you ...

Posted by: Charles | 2009-04-30 6:05:05 PM

"I means seriously YB, did you forget to take your Zyprexa this morning? If so, that voice in your head is lying to you ..."

What exactly is crazy about opposing the world's highest immigration rate at a time when our economy's GDP just dropped an unprecedented 15% in a quarter? I'd like an answer to this one, please.

If Kathy and others have made absolutely no effort whatsoever to oppose this madness, how am I out of bounds calling them on it and labeling them open immigration supporters? It is entirely cricket; you gotta earn your cred as a conservative, and they haven't earned it.

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 6:13:00 PM

The old, "the younger generation aren't producing enough babies" shtick is getting pretty old. Where are the reports that claimed Canada or the US is underpopulated? The enviro nutters are always crying over population, over usage of resources.. so why can anyone claim that there is a worker shortage?

There isn't one. This is about cheaper labor, the displacement of citizens, so as to undermine and eventually erode civil rights.

Posted by: Mary | 2009-04-30 6:30:22 PM

Your better,

You sound like a troll.

Posted by: Mary | 2009-04-30 6:32:32 PM

Hey YB,

I don't think we can ever have an open immigration policy with a welfare state but calling Kathy Shaidle a left-wing militant is absurd.

Posted by: Charles | 2009-04-30 6:45:59 PM

The problem is that citizens are being pushed out of employment, by immigrants and illegal aliens. There is no need to bring immigrants and illegal aliens in to fill jobs, there is no worker shortage, that is a lie based on both the agendas of both the far left and far right wing extremists.

Posted by: Mary | 2009-04-30 6:47:45 PM

For the hell of it, I'll pretend Your Better is for real, somehow just sincerely confused.

Shaidle has provided a link to her blog. Every post on that blog which expresses an opinion on open immigration is very clearly and unequivocally opposed to it.

No one said you were crazy for "opposing the world's highest immigration rate at a time when our economy's GDP just dropped an unprecedented 15% in a quarter". They are calling you crazy for asserting that Shaidle is not opposed, then sticking with that without giving ANY reason why you would think this to be the case. Saying that someone has to provide a link to a specific post isn't a reason. You've been provided a link to her SITE, which in it's ENTIRETY refutes ALL of your claims about her.

If there is an actual reason for you to claim that "Kathy and others have made absolutely no effort whatsoever to oppose this madness", why won't you tell us what that reason is?

Posted by: Dave M | 2009-04-30 6:53:58 PM

"Shaidle has provided a link to her blog. Every post on that blog which expresses an opinion on open immigration is very clearly and unequivocally opposed to it."

All zero of them?

It would just be a lot easier if she and her White Knights admitted the obvious: she hasn't ever opposed open immigration, not once. This hardly makes her unique, I don't see what the big deal is.

(I have to admit I'm stoked that I made Steyn's blog though; he's by far my favourite CSIS informer, a licky boom boom down)

Posted by: Your Better | 2009-04-30 7:02:25 PM

Kathy is a left-wing militant? Can I be a White Knight too?

a troll is not a smurf with seniority
