Wooing Obama
Here's a column I wrote examining the political implications of President Barack Obama's visit to Canada.
My conclusion: Obama just isn't that into us.

How can this be? Obama is The One who shalt restore order to the world! He is perfect!
Or maybe Cdn expectations of him are too high. I wish people would relax and understand that the US truly does care about your quaint little country.
In other news, former President George W. Bush will visit Calgary next month. Welcome, Mr. Bush, you are welcome in Alberta - the Ontarians would not be as kind, but then they never are.

Frankly the adoration of Obama is embarrassing. This just when we thought we had GROWN UP!
I'd wager many of the people here who are ga-ga over him have no damned idea beyond what meets their eyes.
Obama is anxious for some advice/opinion on issues,
Not the least of which is our economies which are inextricably linked.

Until there is once again a President who has integrity and honesty...in other words an "American" President, they should be considered persona non grata. That includes that puppet Bush who can't even spit out an entire sentence that makes sense.

Obama is just the guy at the top; there are plenty of people who work full-time managing Canada-US affairs, and they do a darn good job.
