Madoff and Ponzi Schemes
Larry Ribstein (Uof Illinois free marketer Law Prof.) has some good posts on the Madoff scandal. Appropos of Kalim's comment on my earlier post, he has one titled "Jenkins on Madoff: let him run Social Security," and many more.

Regarding the SEC and its inaction on Madoff and the complaints about his operation over the last 10 years or so, go and look at what the SEC did to this allegedly crooked 14 year old stock trader.
I couldn't get the link to work properly so just google 'johnathan lebed' and go to the story marked 'Stock manipulation SEC Nemesis'.
I found it incredibly funny but the heavy duty stock studs probably won't think so.
