'Joe the Plumber' is a hero; but not why you think...

Joe is a hero because he's an outlaw.  He is (horror!) practicing his personal liberty to offer plumbing services without groveling at the feet of some state board of plumbing.  I also heard that he's not registered to vote.  I like him.

(Here's an article about how dumb non-voluntary professional licensing is, and who it's really for).

When living freely is outlawed, only outlaws will live free. :P

Take it he is also a hero because he is much more concerned about all the non existent tax he has to pay on the $250,000 he doesn't earn rather than about paying the debts he actaully owes.

Or is the idea of paying your creditors just for left wing liberal elitists and not free minded libertarians?

Guess what folks, when the media can crucify someone like Joe the Plumber they have passed the litmus test for becoming socialist and most probably communist. First stage of communism is when the opponents gain control of the news. CBS, NBC, CNN and others appear to have succumed to the opponents.

Example: Two teams playing socker. US and Russia. US Wins and Russia loses. Good journalism reports that, "the US won the Socker match with Russia". Communist journalism reports that, "The Russians came in second and the US came in next to last in the socker tournament."

Do you get the message folks. We're communist and most of us are too dumb to know it.

John, can you expand on this?
I'd love to try and give you an answer from a Libertarian point of view...but I'm not sure I understand the question,
Cheers

Fred makes a good point right along with Janet.

I've been reading the comments on conservative blogs all day, and I think I understand it:

The liberals are all people looking for handouts from the rich, they're all about punishing success and redistributing wealth from the rich to the poor. They want to punish success and take away incentives to succeed.

Also, being poor, they control the rich corporate conglomerates that own the media. That's why the media has a liberal bias. Because the poor control the rich.

Or maybe the poor ARE the rich. How else could they both control the media conglomerates, and want a handout for poor people? Yeah, that must be it.

Wait. Maybe it's that since the media is all a business, and it's about making money for the people that own it, they kowtow to the interests of the poor people, and are against rich people's interests, because that's the best way to make money in business. Successful, rich people who own the media, so obviously it's in their financial best interests to want handouts to the poor at the expense of rich, successful people. That's where the profits are. It's just a smart business decision.

Have I got that right?

Or maybe the media are all just godless communists who hate America, because y'know, just because. I know Palin said many Americans are anti-American, which even more sense than how the poor control the rich, so, maybe that's it.

Or, wait - maybe it's just that conservatives will come up with baseless smears and ludicrous accusations of bias rather than admit that an unbiased viewpoint can oppose them.

Nah, how could that even be possible? That doesn't make any sense at all! Besides, who ever heard of a conservative trying to win by using smears rather than facts?

By the way, I agree with you completely how cool it is that he practices plumbing without a license. Everybody knows that when you live in a nation governed by laws, you should ignore any law you think is stupid.

Mike:

I agree completely with you that anything the government calls "law" is therefore moral and good, and should be obeyed unequivocally.
