Green Party responds to new anti-Semitism allegations
The Standard posted last night about another flare up of possible anti-Semitism in the Green Party. The Greens have responded via email to Matt from the 'A Step to the Right Blog'
Your recent blog post (http://splatto.net/blog/?p=921) contains a serious factual error. Daryl Vernon is not a paid employee of the Green Party and does not serve in any capacity in our "war room" (we use the non-military term "nerve centre"). The memo was not issued by the Green Party. We do not know Mr. Vernon but it is our understanding that he is member of the Toronto Jewish community.
Mr. Vernon's comments do not reflect the views of the Green Party of Canada or York Centre candidate Rosemary Frei. If you care about accuracy, I suggest visiting our website to learn the truth about the Green Party's position on the Israel/Palestine conflict: http://www.greenparty.ca/en/policy/visiongreen/partfive#IsraelPalestineConflict
Perhaps in the future you will check your posts for factual accuracy before publishing untruths.

Heh, "nerve center" instead of "war room." That's kind of funny.

This goes to show the extent that the posting blogger will go to to distort the truth for partisan gain. Everyting he writes from now on should be viewed with great suspicion. Why so biased? Who are his friends?

Actually I suspect the innitial motive for posted is connected to the tar sands- and is attacking greens because they want to have market rates for oil royalties instead of half price givaways - or maybe grasping at straws to attack greens because greens would end the corporate welfare ( tax subsidies) to the most profitable, most polluting oil companies in the world.

You can't end corporate welfare without also ending individual welfare, Zorba. Corporations at least provide jobs. Individual citizens on welfare provide dick. And you can stop your ranting against the oil companies, because you use just as much oil as anyone else. Even if you don't drive, I'm guessing you take transit, own clothes made of synthetic fibres, and own products with plastic components--all products of the petroleum industry.
