Are U.S. Greens crazier than Canadian Greens?
I'm trying to decide.
Cynthia McKinney is the 2008 U.S. Green Party nominee. You probably remember her from lots of stories, all of them sort of nutty. Anyway, this Sunday at a conference in Oakland, CA, the mask of sanity finally slipped completely:
Presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney announced for the first time on Sunday that she has received information that some 5000, mostly male, possibly prisoners were killed execution style, by single gunshot to the head, using the tragic events of hurricane Katrina as a cover.

While speaking she informed the audience that she has received information from a sources that were involved in the clean-up and disposal of the thousands of bodies. According to the source; who wishes to remain nameless at this time, he was charged by the Department of Defense with the task of processing the personal information into DOD computers and then dumping the bodies into a Louisiana swamp.

What I didn't hear in the video was someone shouting: "You're a silly lunatic!"
I'm waiting for Elizabeth May, McKinney's Canadian counterpart, to top this one. Perhaps she could accuse Stephen Harper of eating babies and hiding their bones in his sweater vest.
Or wearing sweater vests made out of the skin of starving artists who will no longer get their government subsidies.

I'm reminded of a Far Side cartoon where a group of Academics in white lab coats are looking through a window at an assortment of obviously imbalanced people who are licking the glass etc.
One of the Academics is asking of the others...

Don't you think that families of these 5000 prisoners might notice they went missing? This story makes no sense! And even stranger is the fact that you can only hear sounds of affirmation coming from the audience!

Yes the Greens, Whether Canadian, Yankee, German, or Aussie are a crazy bunch of people.
They honestly reckon that people should be give up the habit of killing each other; that we should business should sacrifice some of their profits by stop polluting the environment so that the earth could be habitable in one hundred years time, & that if a moose is loose, Palin should not take out her gun and shoot it;
