What the hell are the Liberals doing?

You know, watching this campaign, I have a fairly simple question: what the hell are the Liberals doing?

Seriously.  Is there a single vote to be won on the issue of ARTS FUNDING? Every single person who cares about this issue wasn't going to vote for the Tories in the first place.

Forget the polls - I think that we're closer to the Decima poll than the Nanos tracking one (+16 versus +6).  Harper's going to win this one and win it, in the end, big. If I had to guess right now, I'd say that we're looking at a majority in the 180-200 seat range.

This reeks of the worst stupidity and desperation. You know, there are moments when you're sure that a campaign is doomed.  I like to cite the 2003 California recall, when Cruz Bustamante launched his "No on Recall, Yes on Bustamante" campaign.

What are the Liberals even trying to do here?  It's simply beyond me. If Harper really has the guts, he should put the knife in and promise to get rid of the CBC altogether. It's one of those great and useful wedge issues.

Nothing, nothing, is better than pissing off the right people. Let the "arts community" howl all that they want.  Screw them, they're not going to vote Tory anyways.

That's my other question, I suppose - what the hell are the Tories doing? They're going to win this one by default, as it stands.  They're going to win it big. But they could win it a lot bigger than they have. This is the more boring and dispirited campaign that I've ever seen in my life.

Of course, the question then becomes if they'll actually do anything with that majority.

You mean like banning cherry flavored cigarillos?

I disagree - there is a lot of rumbling of strategic voting, meaning Dion could suck up half the Green vote and maybe 1/3 of the NDP vote.

Yes they will. The NAU will be that much closer to reality with Harper at the helm. And with the Liberals behaving so stupidly, they must be playing along. Left wing / Right wing...same bird.

what are they thinking? Good question, one that I can't figure out either. These guys actually think that the regular people care if badly made gay quasi-porn gets a tax credit or not? Its as bad as, look at them they're bad for the environment because they drive signs around in trucks. Talk about grasping. The liberals really are insulated from reality. Still I can't understand why they still have 25%. I can't beleive that one in four people can be bamboozled that easily

they vote liberal because their dad did because Mackenzie king didn't support gay porn subsidies, he had whites only immigration, he had no diversity no multiculturalism, jailed homosexuals, had the death penalty,

The same as todays liberals right?
