Jack Layton, Barry Zwicker and the Canadian 9/11 Truth movement

Oh geez...

Here's NDP leader Jack Layton with the Calgary 9/11 Truth folks. Just watch:

There's apparently way more to this story than Jack Layton saying "we study" 9/11 truth literature, and claiming that Barry Zwicker, leader of the Canadian 9/11 truth movement, is a friend of his. Liberal blogger Jason Cherniak, who has made it his mission to hammer on the NDP of late, has the details.

So is Ron Paul going to endorse Jack Layton now? He seems to like the Truther-type :-)

And yet still no mention of the full-fledged truthers helping to steer the good ship Libertarian. Why is that?

Clearly Jack is pandering to this crowd, and the SPP/NAU conspiracy theories give him an excuse to ignore the truther nonsense.

In this video he goes to great lengths to avoid taking any stand on the matter, but he seems to unsure of himself to actually condemn the twoofers:

Absolutely right. Question nothing. You believe what you're told to believe and the world will be a better palace.

Martin Luther King actually hanged himself 3 hours before the alleged assasination in 1968. His followers set up the assasination to create a martyr for their cause. Jesse Jackson was pulling strings to make his arms move, and an incredibly strong dwarf was concealed inside Dr King's pants.

Dr. King's illegitimate son Rodney King was beaten by LA police to prevent him from revealing what he knew about the incident. Rodney learned the truth after viewing a print of "The Last Supper" at a local museum.

Jesse Jackson threatened to cut Barrack Obama's nuts off because he'd received a ransom note from Michelle Obama. She demanded he endorse her husband or else she'd out him as the King puppeteer.

Oh for pete's sake this is desperation. So Jack is friends with an author and some crazy 9/11 truther ambushes him at a book signing. OOOHHHH - watch it someone should be worried about Jason Cherniak being a new member of the tin foil hat conspiracy crowd.

Oh and dude with the petition issue - that is the job of an MP to submit petitions on behalf of their constituents. They often submit petitions on issues that they don't agree with. At least they do if they are doing their jobs right.

I saw him talking to a Truther's in the street when I lived in Ottawa. I stood there watching him and kept wondering where his staff was. I wish I had taken a picture.

I think it's completely off base to condemn and MP for tabling a petition on behalf of her constituents. In a democracy I would expect that an MP's duty is to present citizen petitions regardless of what they personally think of the petition's demands. It's called having respect for your constituents. I guess, since the Liberals are trying to make this an issue, they must have no respect for what the voters think.
