What the Hell?
This is my eighth convention. I've watched every convention since 1996. This is terrible.
I mean - I'm a Republican, so obviously I'm not going to love what the Democrats say - but this is terribly, terribly managed. Hillary's speech didn't even start until 10:45PM on the East Coast.
That was after they actually switched keynote speakers at the last minute. And man, wasn't the Governor of Montana terrible right before Hillary?
That video she ran screamed "I hope that Barack loses, since I'm running in 2012". Didn't mention Obama once - hell, I don't see how that video would have been different if Hillary was the nominee.
This convention is just terribly managed. They're going to run overtime, unless this is one of the shortest featured speeches ever.

No, Adam. The governor from Montana was pretty cool. Let's be honest.

So you'll be voting for McCain. What district do you happen to vote in?

No, he wasn't - he was absolutely terrible. And I have no idea why they'd highlight their terribly unpopular energy position.

Maybe this is a female beef: Some rousing rhetoric on Hillary's part and a few others'.
But, what's with all the dyed blondes? Chelsea looked like a Barbie Doll. Hillary looked like a Cupee Doll.
All these Dems talking about "equality for women" and they think that women being blonde enhances equality???
I don't get it. But maybe they know something I don't.

You don't like ranch hands from Montana? He was down-home charming. Getting everyone to chant, and being all hokey, I thought he was great. Marked a nice contrast to the up-tight nerd governors that preceded him in their suits and standard political speeches.
We can agree to disagree. But I liked his speech.

He didn't look to me like he believed what he was saying, with regard to energy, for a moment. And, of course, energy has proven to be a major Democratic weakness.

If Obama loses, Hillary will be running against an incumbent McCain with one presidential term under his belt.
