Everyone Will Finally Be Equal
I am looking forward to this film like few in recent memory. Based on the short story Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut, 2081 "depicts a dystopian future in which, thanks to the 212th Amendment to the Constitution and the unceasing vigilance of the United States Handicapper General, everyone is finally equal..."

Ooh, excellent find - I loved the book, especially the idea that higher intelligence is so outlawed that he's brought to a 'brothel' where men can read newspapers, and play chess. One of Vonnegut's best works, and the new film looks beautiful.

I love the dystopian literary fiction tradition – 1984, Anthem, Brave New World, We, This Perfect Day, The Handmaid’s Tale -- and I'd never even heard of 2081.
I'm very excited for the film and will read the book this weekend.
Thanks, Isaac.

A Kurt Vonnegut book? I thought it was a wish list from Epsi and Merle.
