Is the GOP moving away from "engagement" with Communist China?
The Republican Party seems to have come to terms with the fact that it must move in a new direction after President Bush leaves office. It should be noted that the President gets such low marks on nearly everythign these days (and not entirely deserved) that his steadfastness on the War has turned into one of his highlights (lest any of you worried - or hoped - that the GOP would suddenly become dovish).
One interesting effect of this could be the Republican Party jettisoning the "engagement" nonsense vis a vis Communist China. Stay tuned.
