Dems take a page from Hugo Chavez

I really couldn't believe my ears. Did I hear right? On Camera, on purpose, U.S. house Democrats actually said that congress should nationalize the oil refineries in order to "control how much gets out into the market." That was from Maurice Hinchley (D-NY). This is a great idea. Then once congress controls oil refineries, we can start rationing oil to cut down on demand. Yes. That would be great. Then we can fine anyone who doesn't bike to work. I wonder if Maurice wants to arrest the head of oil workers union as Hugo Chavez did. Oh wait, Hinchley isn't a dictator like Chavez. He still has to get elected by those unions. Which just goes to show, if your going to be a fascist, you gotta first sieze ALL the power, Maurice. Hinchley's proposal would just be fascism without the parades and where's the fun in that?

Oh no, you have it all wrong, jay. The government will be in a much better position to babysit us and hurt the bad people once they control everything. The government loves you. And it REALLY loves the neo-cons.

Considering how the party was hijacked by the hard left, I am not surprised at all. At the same time they continue to block domestic drilling while remaining silent concerning China's drilling in the same area.

And where would that be, off Cuba by any chance? That story was discredited. There is no Chinese drilling off of Cuba. Brazil , India, Canada, Spain, Malaysia and Norway all have exploration contacts, with Brazil looking to be the first to actually do any drilling. Don't believe everything Dick Cheney says.
