Clinton expected to admit defeat, or not

660 News is reporting that campaign officials for Hillary Clinton say their candidate will acknowledge tonight that Barack Obama has enough delegates to win the Democratic presidential nomination.

CNN, however, is reporting that Clinton is not yet ready to admit defeat. In fact, her campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe rejected the news as "100 percent" incorrect.

If I were Clinton, I’d stick around and wait for another Reverend Wright-style scandal. Fortunes change quickly in politics.

Comments

CTV news was already speculating yesterday, but no American sources mentioned it til this morning. No sooner did they make an announcement, than they issued a retraction.

It seems odd that a rumour such as this one would surface in Canada first. Maybe it actually started here.
