Mass detention of religious minorities in Iran - First Bahai's and now Christians
I've been busy dealing with the fundraising stuff recently but it doesn't mean that the important news should be ignored or set aside. Unfortunately, Tehran's Amir-Kabir University independent news website informs us (in Persian) that as many as 10 newly Christian converts have been detained in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz where a suspicious blast killed several people in a mosque. The Amir-Kabir Univ's website mentions that the Islamic regime of Iran is now trying to tie these ex-Muslims to that bombing and prosecute them. As you know the penalty for either of those two so-called crimes in Iran is death.

Most everyone knows how majority muslim places treat the others. One would have to be a dimwit to welcome muslims to be a majority in one's place.

The essential teachings of the Koran allow and encourage, if not command, the use of murder, rape, genocide, robbery, lying to "unbelievers" and perpetual war to further the causes of Islam and of its sex-and-power crazed male members. Your story reveals only one more application of those teachings.

And in Quebec the socialist elitists tell us to not only tolerate this intolerant group but to embrace them.... typical socialists.

Let me make it clear that the Baha'i Faith, and the Baha'is, completely accept the religion of Islam and the Holy Book of Islam, and the Prophet Mohammad as being Divine in origin. The Baha'i faith is the only major world religion to hold such views. We completely reject such bigoted, hateful, racist and irrational views towards a whole religion, its book and its followers, as for example written by Arkahn, Pawlak, and Tom -- completely. The actions of the government of Iran, and of some clergy are not the teachings of the religion of Islam. In fact, were it not for the kindness of MILLIONS of Muslims in Iran, the Baha'is would by now have been extinguished. It is the kindness of these Muslims because they are Muslims that keeps Baha'is safe. To learn more about the attitude of the Baha'i faith about Islam and all world religions, go to www.bahai.org
