Harper's Red Populist Nationalist Alliance

I have a column published in the "Web Exclusive" comment section of the Globe and Mail today.

In it, I explain how and why Prime Minister Stephen Harper is trying to create a new political coalition, a coalition I like to call the Red Populist Nationalist Alliance.

It's an alliance that has room for everybody, everybody that is except for free market conservatives.

"Free market conservatives" are such a small and trivial constituency to abandon when you can ride leviathan from the saddle. Hundreds of thousands of bureaucrats become your friends, The NDP can lead you and their Big-Union puppet masters will wink and nod when they demonize you, the media likes you, Rent seekers (the closest Canadians can aspire to capitalism) suck up to you, the Professoriate invite you to their galas. It's all so much less stressful then sticking to PRINCIPLES.

It appears they neither does it include supporters of freedom of expression.

Hey chumps, face facts! You have nowhere else to go. Harper owns you and can ignore you all he wants and know that come election time you will vote for him. That is the truth and you know it! You one-party province Albertans are the clowns that ruin Canada! You need to learn and adopt a democratic culture, instead of your sheep mentality!

Harper can p*s on your head and there is nothing you can do about it other than to support him and let him walk all over you! Harper owns you and your vote. LOL!

Oh stop it. The "Right Honorable One" is the most benevolent of all western leaders. Of course he owns our vote. We gave it to him. And he's turned that gift into the most honorable government since.. well I can't even remember!

Long may you run Right Honorable One.

LOL! Harper owns you and he can do whatever he wants whether you like it or not. Heck, he doesn't have to listen to you whine and complain. Harper can kick you around all he wants and you will go crawling back to him in the next election. That is why Alberta is a one-party province. LOL! Canadians laugh at the lack of democracy in Alberta--those are the same idiots who claim they wanted in and were not represented because easterners voted as a bloc!!! Pot and kettle accusing others of what they themselves do! Easterners do not vote as a bloc. That is what Albertans do--Alberta sheep all run in a flock after their leader/fuhrer.

So, keep posting your unhappiness with Harper, he doesn't need to listen. Heck, if he does listen, he will snarl at you and you will go quiet or he will have you gagged! LOL! Too funny.

Of course The Right Honorable one can kick us around, but he won't. We aren't as easily fooled as the eastern flock. In the process of trying to win at any cost, eastern voters have gotten behind some of the worst criminals in history.

The only honorable leaders have come from the west, and on a few occasions, the maritimes. Deifenbaker killed the Arrow? That's a myth. Who really believes a bunch of eastern liberals could build something that wouldn't crash into a hospital someday?

Stanfield would not have allowed the country to be plunged into decades of deficit spending. He wasn't very charismatic, but he made damn good underwear.

GERRY NICHOLS, DP says you are wrong. DP says Harper is "principled" and is governing like a great western leader! She also mentioned some "Deifenbaker"--I ain't never heard of that guy!

I know that Ontario born Johnny Diefenbaker trashed the Arrow and was dumped by his own party, but I doubt it is the same guy.

Gerry Regan, Smoking Hatfield, Grant Devine, Bill vander Zalm, the Alberta preacher cum politician demagogues, all the clowns in the closet of the CON artists, sure are a pack of losers. Anyone remember Kim Campbell? Remember her dancing with her large derriere and posing in the nude with a judges robes? LOL! How about Gurmant Grewal, poster boy for sleaze? Or How about Ontario born Stevie? Or Maritime educated Brian the greasy Mulroney? LOL!!!

THE GREATEST PRIME MINISTERS OF CANADA HAVE ALL COME FROM QUEBEC! The rest were losers, except maybe for Pearson. Did I forget the drunk Scot? No.

Yes Roger , Paul Dithers - Martin acomplished much in his tenure ; why there was gay marriage and then there was -- and also --well at least he got Brison ,Cotler , Graham and the other girls on the front bench to stop squealling . Then the old fraud Jean Creatine ,who never saw a sentence that he couldn`t mangle or a protester under 120 lb. that he couldn`t choke slam . Accomplishments , zero . Just a lot of garbled BS that in retrospect seems so cheesy and dated . How the heck did we end up with that chucklehead .

Who are all those guys roger? I remember Regan, but who is Kim Campbell?

You aren't totally off base about Quebec PMs. The Right Honorable Brian Mulroney was indeed a great man. Born in Quebec, and educated in the maritimes, he had all the right background. Imagine a Canada with no free trade agreement. Imagine a Canada struggling to achieve a balanced budget without the benefit of a fair and just tax like the GST. His ability to mend fences with our greatest friend and trading partner was his greatest accomplishment.

That sick bastard Trudeau almost ruined our relationship with our greatest friends. That ungrateful warmonger thought we could partner up with a bunch of commies, and defeat the most powerful and benevolent nation in history.Proof of the shallowness of the liberal gene pool. Tricking Reagan into testing cruise missiles over Alberta. Shame on him. Everyone knows Ontario has much better targets.

Thank God the Right Honorable Stephen Harper moved west before he could be totally ruined by that multicultural rabble in the streets of TO.

CHRETIEN, ONE OF THE GREATEST LEADERS OF THE 20TH CENTURY! His greatest achievement bar none? Wait for it.... not everyone at once...... TELLING LITTLE GEORGIE BUSH TO f*off over the Iraq War and keeping Canada out of the Coalition of the Stupid and Coerced! Imagine the pressure, imagine Harper the moron braying his pro-American jingles, imagine Rice and Rumsfeld pouring on the pressure, and amidst all that, Chretien goes to America and tells Americans to take a look in the mirror to see why they were attacked on 9/11!!! Talk about guts! Little Georgie Bush was so scared of Chretien, he refused to visit Ottawa while Chretien was around--yeah, he knew Chretien would have lifted him off the ground and shaken him like a cowardly rag doll cheerleader that Bush is! Damn, Chretien had balls, not plastic ones hanging from trucks, like those Alberta jerks, but real ones! LOL! Eat your heart out Preston Manning fans! LOL!

About NAFTA, why do we need NAFTA? Shut the oil pipeline off for a day and wait for the Americans to come crawling to negotiate. Hell, Chavez spits on them and there's nothing they can do cuz Chavez has the oil they desperately need! Nice huh. America needs Canada. Quit thinking of Canada as being some weakling--Harper is always running Canada down!

About gay marriage--same sex marriage--great step forward for human rights! Even Harper now agrees and will not change it! See, Harper understands and likes same sex marriage. To get votes, Harper is gonna lead a Pride Parade in Calgary this summer! Harper in bare bottom chaps prancing down the main drag! LOL!

"Shut the oil pipeline off for a day and wait for the Americans to come crawling to negotiate."

LOL

I was right there when we turned off the taps last time. Watching those slimy frogs come crawling back was all the satisfaction I need for quite a while. That filthy scumbag Creten even turned on his creator after he passed on. That took real balls. The man responsible for all his successes, and he stabbed him in the back after he was too old to defend himself.
