I am glad Avi Lewis has gone. Personally, were I Jewish, I would expect to be terminated in a place like where Avi Lewis is. I hope he's able to escape before it's too late.

Just another useful idiot of the left. I guess its too much to ask for that he might get to be working in their Saudi studios. Too bad Al Jazeera doesn't fund the CBC so the Canadian tax payers wouldn't have to pay for that politically toxic incubation chamber.

It was badly written, with bad grammar, wrong sentence structure, incongruous analogies, and a completely unnecessary transcript of Lewis's interview with Hirsi Ali.
This is an example of a rising star? What a shame.
Shaidle would be better off practicing her writing skills over at her blog instead of excerpting everything from others.
With bad writing comes bad thought processes. And that means erroneous information.
Fortunately, most intelligent people can just scour yahoo news without having to suffer through "punditry". And we can form our own opinions.
Hey, just some friendly advice. Do what you will...

Anon, no big deal, even bad writing can shed light on a pinhead.

What is Lewis thinking? He left the CBC for Al-Jazeera - neither place looks good on a resume in the real world! He'll never get another job in a mainstream news network now. Somehow, I doubt he worries because he comes from privilege and wealth - and has never had to answer for his opinions.

Sounder, you probably think I'm a left-wing nut follower of Avi Lewis. No, far from it.
This kind of writing is an embarrassment to right-wingers. Who is really reading it anyway, after the first sentence? Like I said, we can get our news from yahoo, and leave these writers to their own free-lance existence. I mean, why not train for a real job (maybe just go to journalism school?), instead of pretending to be these opinion makers?
Shaidle has her blog. She should just stay there in her excerpting expertise.

I saw that masacree when it first aired.
Ali destroyed Avi,it was one of the most brutal verbal beatings as I've seen lately.
Physically it could be compared to Mohammid Ali cleaning Mad magazine's Alfred E Newman's clock.
Shortly after Lewis claimed on TV that his successful show was renewed by CBC and was going to return in 6 months time.
Was a contract drawn up?Did CBC pay him off?

Does this make Naomi Klein married to the mob?

Please do not use my pseudonym, fake anon. You're taking away from the seriousness of my comments!
Now, that's why I like blogs. The silliness!

The mob actually puts some effort into supporting themselves unlike the Lewis family who have survived nicely as champagne swilling socialists on the taxpayers teat.

Two things about "anon's" comments:
1) Anyone who uses "anonymous" as their moniker doesn't have a leg to stand on vis a vis a credible opinion and
2) if s/he alleges that Kathy Shaidle is presenting "erroneous information," without evidence, who's listening.
Go back to your own blog or crawl back under the rock you came from.
