UK Increases Welfare Benefits to Islamists

Do they even want to live?  Seriously.  How mighty Britannia, which once ruled most of the world has fallen.

The depressing news for today is that the UK has decided that Moslem men with multiple "wives" can collect welfare benefits for each "wife".

There are so many things wrong with that sentence that I don't know whether I should put my fist through the wall or cry or both.

Meanwhile, one in four Britons doesn't know that Winston Churchill was a real person.

God save the Queen.

Good Gawd. No wonder the Queen lives behind the walls of Buckingham Palace and retreats to Balmoral in Scotland: 'only way to preserve her sanity in such a loony bin.

Well, I don't see what the fuss is about. If you don't think the government should give welfare payments to anyone, then you are against this decision independently of the issue of polygamy.

If you think that welfare is appropriate in some cases, then there is no reason to think that Muslims are any less deserving of it than anyone else. That would be religious prejudice.

If you think that welfare is appropriate in some cases, then you probaby think that the amounts families get should depend on the number of people in the family. A couple with three kids should get more than a couple with no kids, as there are more people being supported.

So if the amount depends on the number in the claimant group, then just as each kid counts, each wife counts.

So the only thing to be bothered by is that the British government is recognizing polygamy. But I would have thought that defenders of the "traditional" definition of marriage as it is defined by religion would have to support the polygamous, Muslim tradition, right? Unless, that is, one is just an anti-Muslim bigot.

The decision sounds ok to me. In fact, it is just common sense.

1) Bigamy is illegal in the United Kingdom, as it ought to be. Extending this to Moslems IS religious prejudice - it is giving people license to violate the rights of others (and, really, do you think that most fourth wives imported from Pakistan are there of their own free will?) because of their religion.

2) I'm in favour of traditional marriage - as in Western traditional marriage. That I defend my own traditions doesn't mean tha I have to grant others the right to import alien and indeed, fundamentally inimical ones, into my land.

3) I'm basically against welfare, under all but certian circumstances, in any case. And I'm definiely against welfare for aliens, in all but exceptional cases. I don't get what kind of twisted mindset could come to the conclusion that it's perfectly alright for some guy to import his multiple wife-slaves, to live in defiance of all the traditions and the laws of the land, and then to expect taxpayers to pick up the tab.

One further thought: This policy should mean the government ends up paying LESS money in welfare, not more. If a man and his four wives qualify for welfare payments, they will get 191 GBP (92 GBP for the man and one wife plus 33 GBP for each of the other three wives). But if only one wife is allowed to be claimed with her husband, the other three wives could still apply for welfare independently as single women. Now I don't know the rate a single person gets for welfare, but it would have to be more than 33 GBP if a couple gets 92 GBP. So whatever the amount is, it should mean that the government saves money by letting them apply together. It's simple math!

Once this goes through, the next on the list claiming these benefits will be mistresses.

Not true, Fact Check. Once again, you've got to get your facts straight.

These polygamous marriages are legal on the grounds that they've been contracted abroad. These extra 'wives' shouldn't even be in Britain.

Oh boy, the insanity of this is staggering! Anyone using math as a defence of such ludicrous policy making, is....well....just as nuts as those making policy in the United Kingdom!

The polygamy story is disturbing enough, but the secondary story on Britons' knowledge of historical figures is even more problematic as it suggests even greater problems forthcoming.

So much for: "we will never surrender".

That is true Brent, and this quote, “Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. Those who remember the past are condemned to watch other people repeat it.” By George Needham seems an appropriate post here too.

No doubt the UK is going down in flames. It would make an interesting study as to why a people prefers self-chosen national suicide.

While this should serve as a wake-up call to us, I am not sure it will succeed in time. Our judicial activists have already opened the Pandora box concerning marriage and it is only a matter of time before any "union" will have to be accepted. Furthermore the ignorance of the Brits of their history is the desired product of x number of years teaching and preaching PC revised history, and we have at least two generations indoctrinated in the same vein.

will the real ira save all ireland from the threat of sharia? or will the brits save the day?

Alain: "No doubt the UK is going down in flames."

And as many Brits as can are fleeing the inferno. I saw a piece on the News the other week, showing a 101-year-old man and his wife leaving England to live in New Zealand.

Their articulated intent was not to leave the Islamist Republic of Britunistan England is turning into, but I'll bet that's one of the reasons they were leaving the "safety" of "home" for a faraway, unfamiliar place at their age.

England: Home Insane Home.

It's time the Queen invoked some of the ancient powers of the Throne and take Merry Old England back from the abyss.
