Will Stephane Dion be renaming his dog?

"Scrap Y2Kyoto", says science journal "Nature"

A report in an influential science magazine says it is time to forego the Kyoto protocol because the United Nations treaty has failed to bring about any significant action on climate change.

Not only has the decade-old treaty not delivered cuts in global emissions of greenhouse gases that continue to soar, but it is the wrong tool for the job, say Gwyn Prins of the London School of Economics and Steve Rayner at Oxford.

Comments

to the Liebral, NDP and Green Parties:

I told you so. Kyoto was a scam from the start and would never work. You hitched your wagon to the post instead of to the horse. Losers.

Y2Kyoto - love it!!!

Eets not moi dog!

With apologies to Inspector Clouseau, who would also conclude Kyoto is dead.

Death to Kyoto! Long live pure science!

But the authors still insist that humans are to blame.

Instead of one big bag, they want lotsa a little bags of self destructive policy.

De Yawn may not rename his dog but he might feed it more scraps.

He could call him Toto, similar sounding name, he'd come when called. That should be the least of Dion's worries at this point.

My little spaniel, Cujo, is getting old and arthritic so I have to carry him sometimes.

Every once in a while I call him Cargoe instead.
He seems to like that name better and come more often.

Poor Steffi should tie a steak around his neck so Kyoto will play with him...

And CTV is at their game again. They posted a story about PM Harper meeting with the Dalai Lama, inviting comments. These comments were so overwhelmingly in praise of the PM that they eliminated ALL of them within hours of posting the article.

The Enemedia is at it again!

Kyoto is nothing more, nothing less, than an absolute failed plan to have a climate family.

It was a plan to get money out of the wealthy and into the hands of despotes--who still do not deserve western wealth--no matter how much they grovel for it.

It was a failure from the beginning, because it crushes incentive--human incentive.

It takes money away from developing alternative fuels, and places it into the hands of despots, whose sole gain is their own personal--they won't make improvements and reduce--when their aim is to produce as much if not more waste than the west.

I have to say, the Kyoto Accord is as fertile as Dayawn's dog--NOT!
