Hiller says Stay the Course

When Canada's top soldier says the Afghans need more time, then we should all shut up and listen. Though if the NDP and Bloc had their way, we would be packing out bags and leaving Afghanistan tomorrow.

From the CBC: Afghans years away from taking over own security

"You just don't build that overnight and the international community will have to be involved for some time to see this through to the final level where you've got a government that works effectively"

Comments

The CTV article on this has disappeared from their web page. Could it be because virtually all the comments by readers were positive - and in support of Hillier? Hmmmm?

A friend recently e-mailed me an excellent article: The Peace Racket, An anti-Western movement touts dictators, advocates appeasement - and gains momentum by Bruce Bawer. It can be found on City Journal, www.city-journal.org

I knew the situation was bad but had no idea it was a bad as this. Anyway it is well worth the read.

Don't know where Dion will stand on this one, it will be very interesting. For sure Dipper Dawn Black will have the vapors while Jack grinds the organ.

The organ-grinder of the NDP is actually party president Anne MacGrath, a Communist Party candidate in Edmonton-Strathcona in 1984.

Don't believe me, look it up on Wikipedia.

SYF, not at all hard to believe MacGrath may have been a Commie, the Dippers being close cousins of the Commies, not much of a stretch.

Let's say there would need to be more than one organ grinder to accommodate so many Monkeys.
