Gaia be gone!
From the National Post today:
A Toronto mosque is telling Muslims not to say "Happy Thanksgiving" or invite friends into their homes for turkey dinner on the holiday weekend. The Khalid Bin Al-Walid Mosque says to "avoid participating" in dinners, parties or greetings on Thanksgiving because it is a kuffaar, or non-Muslim, celebration. A two-part article on the mosque Web site says Muslims should also "stay completely away" from "Halloween trick-and treat nonsense," Christmas, New Year's, anniversaries, birthdays and Earth Day.
Well, at least they got the Earth Day part right.

If only the people of Ontario could show the same guts they did when they refused to implement sharia law a few years back. I know it's asking a lot but maybe - just maybe - lightning can strike twice.
All the more reason for Alberta and others to make a pre-emptive stand against islamofascism.

Lack of integration should be included in a comprehensive law for immigrants and a valid reason for refusal of citizenship and a good reason to send them back to their country of origin.

Muslims celebrate weddings.
Since weddings existed before Islam, weddings must be kuffar too.
Don't damage your deen by celebrating weddings, eh Muslims.
As to Thanksgiving, it isn't a stretch to see that Muslims aren't among the most thankful(grateful) people.
I've always wondered about atheists though.
Just who are they thanking, themselves?

Iran won't celebrate any of those things. Muslims should be encouraged to emigrate to their holy theocratic state where their tender sensibilities aren't offended. Sunni Muslims can go to Saudi Arabia, it's just as backwards as Iran - and they have DisneyMecca in Saudi!

They have the same thread topic at LGF and they're making the same mistake that you are, except they're blaming all of Canada.
Get it straight.
This a a particular mosque telling it's congregation a set of dos and don'ts, this isn't 'all of Ontario'.
I wouldn't be surprised if all the mosques in Calgary were telling their people the same thing.
At heart, Islam is a cultural ideological vehicle to spread the desert Arabian culture of the 7th century. They are protecting this culture just like French Quebecers do, by minimizing and refusing to participate in aspects of the wider Canadian culture.
Islam says that Allah has deemed that all men of a certain maturity must wear beards.
I guess Allah forgot he created certain races of men that cannot grow beards.
(North American Indians come to mind)

While much of the reasonable/unreasonable debate has been in QC, it is moving into Ontario as well and people there are beginning to realize that this debate is going to happen - sooner, than probably later. If the silent majority continues remaining quiet, the writing will soon be on the wall - if it is not already.
AB has been quietly rolling over re accommodation in small increments for years - particularly in the last 10 years or so. The mentality of "it's not nice to challenge" combined with the Litigation Chill of being taken into Human Rights Tribunal is doing just what the imam of this particular mosque is trying to accomplish. Unfortunately it is working all to well in places where it counts - mosques, schools, and the workplace.
This sign,for example, in a Bank of Montreal located in one of the major shopping malls in SW Calgary - about 12" x 12" printed on a nice, blue plastic backdrop located on a pillar in view of customers lining up for the tellers.
We have staff available to serve you in the following languages:
English (was in a little larger lettering)
Arabic
Hindi
Konkani
Pubjabi
Russian
Urdu
That is it. No mention of French and no mention of Chinese (the third largest linguistic group after English/French)
I had a chat with the customer service person about the lack of French - probably a middle manager who was filling in over the noon hour. The reaction was oh - we have French people available and then she had nothing more to say.
I'm certainly no fan of Official Bilingualism, particularly in Ab. However, if a major corporation chooses to promote other linguistic groups and ignores one of the official languages, it strikes me as a very significant error in corporate judgment. It also speaks volumes about creeping unreasonable accommodation and how it is being catered to.

So the Muslims say that Mohammad received his revelations from Allah in a cave somewhere. That's it? Nothing more? Some rich merchant says he heard from God and now he's got a religion? What were they on when they heard that?
Jesus at least performed some miracles. He had to demonstrate his abilities before people would follow him. He worked for his flock, proving himself and the truth of his message. Christianity had to endure some rigorous critical method before people would accept it. And guess what, it worked! Hooray for humanity.
That child molesting Arab probably made it all up in his head. Of course as the great "true" prophet of our time has said, "Who's the more foolish: The fool, or the fool who follows him?" It is, of course, Obi-wan Kenobi.
It looks more and more like Scientology is a superior religion to Islam. At least its people know its founder was nuts.

I think im gonna disagree with most of you. I think its a shame that some Muslims are segregating themselves, but isn't it also their right to choose not to participate? Sadly, I think they are the ones loosing out.

TWO men in Saudi Arabia have been sentenced to 7,000 lashes each after being convicted of sodomy and have received their first round of punishment in public, a newspaper said today.
The men, who were not identified, were meted out an unspecified number of lashes in public in the the southwestern city of Al-Bahah on Tuesday evening, the Al-Okaz daily reported.
They were then returned to prison where they are to be held until the full punishment is completed, the newspaper added, without saying how many sessions this would involve.
Homosexual acts are illegal in Saudi Arabia, which metes out strict punishment based on sharia, or Islamic law.
Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking can all carry the death penalty in the kingdom, with public beheading the common form of execution.

Somalia has a young population; over 3.4 million of its 7.2 million people are under the age of 15. Life expectancy is 49 years. All Muslim children, by law have to attend Islam classes in school, even if in private Christian missionary schools.
The country has an entirely Muslim population and in some areas Shari'a law is implemented. Church properties were nationalized and missionaries expelled in the 1970s. Existing churches are permitted by the government so long as do not evangelize Muslims.

Befor Mo came along and organized these clowns, they worshipped the Moon god Al Ala, amoung others, at the Ka'ba or Big Black Rock in Mecca. What has changed? They circled the rock 7 times and chucked stones at the devil before even gettin' unionized by Mo and nothing has changed since. They pay union dues too, as a percentage of their earnings to their mosque. Sound familiar?

Before Mo cam along, these "clowns" worshiped a whole bunch of gods not just once. As for them not changing at all, that would be debatable to say at the very least. And about their "union dues":
a.) it doesn't go to their mosques
b.) It's not based on their earnings
As for the "somalis" having their own mosque, doesn't that go against the Islamic principle of no nationalism. Anyways, I don't really have a problem with these "clowns" not eating turkey with me. It's when they started to blow themselves up in a crowded areas which really ticked me off.

Islam is NOT, never WAS, and never WILL BE compatible with Western Judeo-Christian culture and civilization. It is a cult that has kept the middle-east in the 7th century for the past 1400 years.
Muslims are not here to enjoy and become a part of our societies. It is here to destroy and take over our culture and way of life. We need to stop promoting this death-cult as "The Religion of Peace" which it is NOT, now or at anytime in it's history, and by all appearances, never will be!

May we try to be realistic about this please? The fact is that we, in every Western country, have accepted a large number of Muslims. Yes, we can argue that it should not have happened, but fact is that it did. I do not see any Western country with the will to deport every Muslim living there.
Personally I am willing to give the arguments of Walid Phares (author of "The War of Ideas") a chance. He maintains that jihad is not a pillar of Islam and that the ideology of Jihadism/Islamism is a product of the 20th century. He traces its beginning to the present day, giving examples of how this imperialist totalitarian ideology continues to spread throughout the world, Muslim and non-Muslim. Muslims disagreeing are simply murdered and this practice has extended to the West. By not correctly identifying the enemy we choose defeat. Once identified, then measures can be taken to weed out the jihadists. He is especially adamant that this has nothing to do with poverty, foreign policy or whatever.
Yet we continue to allow the enemy to hide behind the veil of Islam, to tolerate their preaching and indoctrination, to give in to their demands. Worse we have a sufficient number asking why do they hate us and stating that we (our culture) is to blame.
When citizens (especially in Europe) understand the threat contrary to their authorities and try to speak out, they are harassed and arrested by their authorities for "hate speech". In North America we stand a better chance having a smaller number of Muslims, but for how long this will be the case one can only wonder with our authorities (and MSM) remaining in denial.
