Tories unveil green 'showroom tax' on cars

Tories unveil green 'showroom tax' on cars

In addition:  "Under the Tory plan for a greener world, all electrical goods, such as plasma screen televisions, that exceed precise limits on the permissible level of energy they use could be banned from sale."

Interesting to see how this pre election policy will be received.

The Islamic Republik of Britain can keep its creeping green fascism.

Britons who miss Britain emigrate.

Which would be exceeding hard to do as the EU sets standards for electrical devices. Even if they were able to ban some electrical equipment it wouldn't be hard to go to another country within the EU and buy it.

Why don't we just start taxing blatant stupidity?

It would be a huge source of income, and it is becoming more widespread everyday.

Unbelievable what is happening in this world.

These people should be prosecuted for false representation - claiming to be Tories.

deepblue- if we taxed stupidity in this country canada would be the wealthiest nation per capita in the western world. when we have all of the examples of other once great nations swirling around the bowl(england, france come to mind) staring us in the face everyday on tv, the papers, internet, whathaveyou, and we still elect idiots who want to enact the very same policies that got these countries in the position they find themselves in today. hard to fathom isn't it?

Gee I had forgot that green is the colour representing Islam, so now I think I understand the reason why.

robert, I am in complete agreement.

Mass insanity on a world wide scale.

LIBERAL-TORY SAME OLD STORY!

Seems like there are 2 choices for superficial symbolism and arbitrary autocratic regulating.

Ban and tax my car and TV when you do so to your own you elitist bitches!

This is delicious.
The government subsidizes professional sports with our taxes, CFL, NHL, etc. to misdirect people from how badly they are governed, then they make it hard to afford to watch these sports on the new improved medium.
This is going to burn a lot of votes when people wake up and smell the coffee.

Maybe there is some company out there on the cutting technological edge designing a new TV that will run on fluorescent bulbs.

Somewhere, someplace there must be some people that are soooooooo proud/pleased/whatever to see these things in print. Surely they must be more of those highly protected civil service bureaucrats who are trying to embarrass/undercut the conservative minority.

Our socio-culturalfabric is in tatters and blowing in the wind and the focus is on plasma TVs.

The music playing must be violins - as in Rome - violins - burning

Britons who miss Britain emmigrate? Do we really need more union activists?

Posted by: DML | 2007-09-10 12:23:24 PM

I too have noticed that an unusually high number of Union Activists are immigrants from Britain.

It stands to reason the British conservatives are going to stay put in jolly old England.

David Cameron, leader of the UK Tories, is doubly green: He's an extreme enviro-cultist and a dhimmified Islamo-appeaser. I only wish the great Baroness Thatcher could muster the strength to beat him to death with her handbag.

All British patriots should vote BNP: Keep Britain British and giant plasma screens for all.
