Wow! I wonder how much the upcoming Ontario election played a role in this action?

Nothing like an election to get movement on constipated issues, best of the best cathartics.
Never mind it's been days since a man was almost killed and months since the thuggery and lawlessness began. When Indians stray off their Reserves they should have to obey our laws, case closed.

Hold on everyone for arresting is not the same as convictions. The court party will be the deciding factor, and I should not place any bets on them.

It's about time. The Police have only moved in now under orders from Dolton McGuinty to try to make this go away as an election issue - the aboriginals will grudgingly 'co-operate' because they know they'll get more millions out of him before anyone else.

The people of Ontario deserve to lose money on their houses because they voted Liberal, they deserve to have poor health care because they voted Liberal, they deserve their $600 'health' tax because they voted for a guy who made backroom deals with the big players in the Province like the teacher's union(who spend our money sending their love to McLiar through their advertising friends), Ontarions deserve bad roads, poor schools, increased taxes and criminals roaming their streets because they voted for Dolton McGuinty and the Liberals.

But nobody deserves the beating Mr. Gualtieri got at the hands of aboriginals, they almost killed him.

Those boys will get a nice hot shower, a couple of squares, maybe some new sneakers then the offer of a grant or perhaps a vacation somewhere to chill out.

That's all folks. These are Indians don't forget ... the true chosen people. Keeper of Gaia, spiritual giants etc etc.

these "natives" are a conquered race. it is about time they were treated like it. that being said i refuse to believe that they will receive any or any meaningful punishment.

they will blame it all on the repression perpetrated by the evil white man. that instead of being held accountable for their crimes.

these bums should have been mass arrested the moment they stepped onto rpivate property.

but as one person said, they are the chosen people.

The Federal government says they have no claim.

Why are the OPP standing by and watching this domestic terrorism? Is there any other name for it?

Posted by: Paul | 2007-09-19 8:34:43 PM

...it must suck being an OPP these days.

What kind of a lawless state would we be in if the various police forces had to have permission from the politicians to go after all lawbreaking thugs?

Exactly why can our police forces not protect us from thugs and worse who call Indian reserves home?

When they stray off reserves to wreck havoc, blockading roads, beating a man so severely they could have killed him, and our police forces let it happen because they're Indians, can Anarchy be far behind?
If police forces can't do their jobs is there any option aside from taking the law into our own hands? Of course we know the police would never allow it, just a special privilege for Indians who say they own the land and pay for nothing.

...that's just it LizJ. Police are suppose to uphold the law.

When there isn't one, there's nothing to uphold.

Quite simple. Sadly.

I really feel for the fella that was beaten half to death and the rest of the normal townfolk as well.

An engineering student we had for a years term where I work is from the area; he was able to give us pretty unbiased reports on the situation on the ground there, it sounded to be quite scary. I don't know what I'd do in a similar situation, I have to think that I'd have blown a pipe a while ago............
