The continuing Kyoto crisis, part X

Via Kate and the National Review comes news of this new and rigorous scientific study that concludes the earth's climate is only about one-third as sensitive to carbon dioxide as the IPCC has claimed.

Message to Al Gore: Your movie has now been completely, absolutely and thoroughly debunked. Do the responsible thing and pull it from circulation.

Message to the msm: It's now officially OK for you to start covering the other side of the climate-change story. Go ahead. Do it. It won't hurt.

Message to all climate-change hysterics: Shut up.

So let me get this straight... You have cited a study that says that increases in carbon dioxide DOES cause global warming as evidence worries about climate change are hysterical. Your rationale is because the effects of global warming caused by carbon dioxide are just SLOWER than some think.

Doctor A: "I'm sorry, but you have cancer and have only one year to live"

Doctor B: "Doctor A is wrong. You DO have cancer, but you have THREE years to live."

Terry: "See!!! Cancer is a myth!!!"

"Message to Al Gore: Your movie has now been completely, absolutely and thoroughly debunked. Do the responsible thing and pull it from circulation."

Couldn't agree more ... however ... I don't know what they will do in other countries but in Canaduh ...

- The bilingual system in Canada
- The use of the metric system
- The official policy of mulitulturalism

to name three, (and there are others) all have been debunked as failed useless divisive policies yet, decades later they are still here haunting us and costing us billions.

Once our government 'invests' in a policy it become eternal.

No Doogie ... no one says GW is a myth they are saying it is being exaggerated for nefarious purposes by lefies that fools like you support.

What this study and others show is that we have a lot more time to adapt to this much smaller problem than Gore would have us believe.

The cancer analogy is idiotic it's not the same kind of problem. The cancer you talk about in your case is fatal. However human societies have adapted and survived millions of years of far more climate change than we are facing now.

"no one says GW is a myth"

. . . only that man-made GW is a myth. Mars, Saturn & Pluto are also warming, and last time I checked they have no SUV's on those orbs.

Watermelons are behind this latest scare - Green on the outside & Red on the inside. That's why China is exempt from Kyoto. It is a good Communist gov't.

Doogie:

This particular scientific opinion concludes the earth's temperature will rise by 0.6 degrees by 2070.

Run for the hills! Run for the hills!

Science is about knowledge and the Goracle's declarations cannot stand up to the scrutiny of scientists.

The Goracle himself declared many years ago it is important to overstate the case ... I'd guess because ‘we're all gonna die' is a much easier sell than ‘we are emerging from the latest ice age and the temperature is increasing at a slow rate.'

Panic attacks do not equal credible scientific research.

In the early 1700's Europe, was in a mini-ice age. Louis XIV's palace guards had to shorten their postings from 30 minutes to 15 because they froze to death in place in thirty minutes, as did the cows. The grape vines all died, the corn seed was useless, peasants resorted to eating the dead cows and human cadavers to survive Wine was sliced rather than decanted.

Icebergs appeared in the Thames River in London, and the canals of Venice froze. 10 years later, things returned to normal These are cycles that the planet undergoes.

In 1920, the Washington Post announced that Global Warming was around the corner. In the 1970's, Time & Newsweek had cover stories about the oncoming Ice Age. 30 years later, it's Globull Warming once again.

Don't get too excited. James Annan catches several math and physics erros in this paper here:

Considering that with all our technology we remain unable to provide accurate five-day weather forecasts, it would make an interesting study to find out why we have people clinging to the GW science fiction. The ones standing to gain from the scam but for the others it is a lack of reason.

Yet another example of the hysterical claims of catastrophe being downgraded. With this kind of trend soon there will be no Global Warming of any significance!

What effect does this have on the estimates of ice cap melt? Does this mean that the most recent average rise in ocean levels (estimated) will likewise be less than 1/3 of the currenly "accepted" figure? How about the destruction of forests, arable land and whatnot? See, when a pivotal piece of data is proven to be erroneous all estimates that were based upon it are likewise struck down. Or should be.

If global warming was such a serious and crucial issue, why was Ontario's auto industry granted an exemption?

Surely if the fate of the world and the human race depended on immediate action by all citizens, every effort should be made to correct it!

But it appears that the rush for implementation of Kyoto was a charade designed to hush criticism. The liebrals and dippers knew that Kyoto had to be started before their opponents, particularly in Alberta, could act. Well, they were caught red-handed. Worse, the Liebrals bought the Green Party for a bag of magic beans to add to their credibility, and to remove critics from the other side. Fortunately, Harper was elected and now Kyoto doesn't have a chance.

The winners in this case are the people of Canada who dodged the Kyoto bullet. Their jobs, homes and livelihoods have been spared from the ruinous taxation plan that Kyoto would have required. Albertans should be especially grateful because we avoided another NEP, and the assured secession crisis that Kyoto would have started.

The losers are the Liebral and NDP parties, who sold out to the large corporations and unions of southern Ontario's auto industry. The Green Party is basically irrelevant now that they are owned whole by the Liebrals and their corporate masters.

If there is a threat to "our" civilisation then its nutcases who can't accept Canda as it is.

Jail them, torture them, execute them.

GOT IT

So marilyn - now that you've been proven a fabricator & liar once again, how dare you show your face here?!?

Did you miss the radio interview on CKNW? Or are you to ashamed to admit you were wrong or lying?

marilyn is not man enough to admit he was wrong, nor man enough to apologize either. Typical Leftoid behaviour!

BEGONE, UNION THUG SCOUNDREL!

munroe: why should I accept a Canada where scams like Kyoto exist?

Those who commit such crimes should be punished.

Ah, OBC....we need you and Pike in the Caribbean yesterday.

Don't bother to shower, first.

Posted by: munroe | 2007-08-20 6:44:39 PM

The liar & fabricator is back, sans apology. Typical Leftoid - not to be trusted. HA!

Posted by: obc | 2007-08-20 6:45:48 PM

obc: I wish I knew what he meant by 'being in the Caribbean.' It has something to do with the carnage wrought by Hurricane Dean, but exactly what I'm not quite sure. However, it is no less cryptic than his other statements.

Leftoids wish harm on their opponents. No different than the commies who shipped dissidents to gulags and re-education camps from which most did not return. 125 million dead at the hands of communism since 1917.

All the while, claiming THEY are the compassionate & caring ones.

Roger: the science might be accepted by all, but not the solution. Case closed.

Zeb ~

Your response will seem out of place when the webmaster removes the troll's posts, as he did this a.m. and this p.m.

There will be no record that he ever showed up here.

Posted by: obc | 2007-08-20 7:49:59 PM

Zeb ~

It's like being at the beach and building a sandcastle, then having someone walk by and kick it down.

The webmaster is that someone. The troll's stupidities will be knocked down and washed away by the next wave.

Only a fool would bother posting & have no record of it remain.

But trolls are fools, as we well know.

Zeb ~

The 2 best comments on the page of this video are:

1. Do you still get the 72 virgins if you killed yourself unintentionally?

2. Gotta remember to check that expiration date on those things.

Either that, or it’s yet another Chinese recall a-coming.

They won't know it tomorrow when all your posts are removed, loser!

Posted by: obc | 2007-08-20 8:09:26 PM

obc: yeah that was a great video.

My favorite comments:

"I hope the CNN camera crew wasn’t harmed."

"Dare I say divine intervention?"

One of the blessings about living in the US is access to cable TV. Right now on History Channel they are showing a documentary on 9/11 Truth, debunking every one of those lies for what they are - the equivalent of Holocaust denial.

The CBC would only show 9/11 Truth nonsense and expect people to believe it as fact.

Posted by: Zebulon Pike | 2007-08-20 8:17:26 PM

I'll be in the US net week, enlarging my carbon footprint again. It will be nice to have TV choices like yours - and never accidentally turn to CBC, even for 5 seconds.

One conspiracy theory about 9/11 = the phone calls placed on United Flight 93, the one that crashed into the ground near Shanksville PA, were FAKED!

Of all the lunatic things these Truthers have come up with, this one wins the prize for most insane.

Tell that one to the families of whose who died trying to retake the plane from the terrorists!

. . . and spoke to them, minutes before they were murdered by these Islamofascists.

Roger said "THE SCIENCE OF GLOBAL WARMING IS ACCEPTED BY EVERY POLITICAL PARTY IN CANADA, INCLUDING THE HARPER GOVERNMENT!!! Case closed!"

Yea well so was Eugenics at one time. CBC's fav Canadian (Tommy Douglas) was a proponent of this idiotic idea. His thesis entitled The Problems of the Subnormal Family was on eugenics. Popularity does not mean a theory is true.

new and rigorous scientific study that concludes the earth's climate is only about one-third as sensitive to carbon dioxide as the IPCC has claimed.

Maybe thats why sea levels are falling instead of rising.
