Liberals love the money
I am not sure if the news of recent provincial Liberal scam is being heard by real Canadians out there in the rest of the country but that's becoming a serious issue within the Iranian-Canadian community here in Ontario and many are questioning the motives behind the recent move by a Liberal candidate, Mr. Reza Moridi, to get CDN$ 200,000 in grants from the Liberal government of Ontario through personal ties in the provincial government. And therefore Premier McGuinty has also come under fire for money sent to the so-called cultural centre with ties to Liberals.
It really makes me think that Liberals can't stay away from money, fraud and scams at all.
I am linking to four news articles by the Toronto Star newspaper which is following this shameful scam-like incident closely:
Toronto Star 1, Toronto Star 2, Toronto Star 3, Toronto Star 4

Good morning and welcome to reality!

From what I read, the real problem is these bloody Islamo-immigrants who not only come here bringing all their political baggage from home, but then want to dip into our pockets for these sweet grants. If we just shiped all the Iranians back to Iran with one way tickets then we could solve both the problem of wasting money on them and the problem of them importing their politics. It also would be nice to round them all up and ship them home just in case Bush does decide to bomb them. No sense in knocking if they already have left home. Either way, Canada without Iranians is a better Canada.

Funny, I haven't read anything about this on the very wired-in Warren Kinsella's blog.

Actually, the whole smear job on Tory is a perfect example of Warren "Less a Punk than a Twerp" Kinsella.
You know: create a racist boogeyman out of thin air, then "slay" it with over-the-top rhetoric and by doing so, misdirect attention from what the Liberals are doing.
A good word from my days on UseNet: squink. Short for "squid ink". What a squid squirts out its butt while swimming away. In other words, standard operating procedure for Kinsella.

Liberal ( branded) governments are all predisposed to corruption and ultimately Kleptocracy by the very nature of their governing ideals...they engage in a the big government ethic built on the government as a corporate business ideal, where there are 3 directices....consolodate power, create revenue streams, and patronage natwork for partisan dependancy.
There is no way for such a governing model to go but towards corruption...this is also why when caught many/most Liberal bureaucrats feel they have done no wrong...this kleptocratic ideal is normal to them...the traditional directives of accoutability and public trust are foreign to them and actually seen as legal impediments to be removed.
McGuinty has run a patronage payols machine ducking billions of taxpayer's dollars into public service union patronage and the section 15 minory group axe grinding patronage...Caledonia is such a payola scam...secret meetings, swinging multi million dollar deals with native extrotion racketeers...not surprised to see the radical Islamic ciommunity shaking down McGuinty for patronage/extortion as well...they have much in common agenda wise with the Native extrotion cults.
When the smoke clears on the McGuinty regime and they are a historic blip next year we will start to see the extent to which public funds were misdirected.

Is this the lame-assed smear you refer to?...two backbench Doltonite trained ethnics playing the phoney race card scam?
http://ottsun.canoe.ca/News/National/2007/05/04/4152609-sun.html
"Two Liberal MPPs attempted to introduce a petition in the legislature this week that accused PC Leader John Tory and his party of showing "continued ignorance towards ethnic minorities" in their response to the grants scandal."
Pathetic at best...I doubt even a reformed cesspool-wader like Kinsella would take part in such obvious etno-centric theatrical misdirects.

Even community papers are silent on this and I dont know why!

The Criminal Liberal Fraud Party of Toronto usually gets away with stealing or 'misappropriating' taxpayer's dollars in order to buy their way to electoral victory. It's 'da usual business'.
Canadians would rather drive their older cars for another year, vacation less often, save less for retirement, buy the cheaper groceries, turn the heat down in the house... than demand honesty from Liberals since Liberals say nice things despite being crooks.

Let the crooked lot of them continue to dance with the ones who "brung" them. They're birds of a feather, corruption is all they know, it's become endemic. It's slowly taking them down.

Big question in DND Ottawa is what motivates Associate Professor Attaran and his continuing attacks on the Canadian Army serving as part of the NATO Brigae in Afghanistan - his activies reflect great discredit upon the entire Iranian Canadian Community, Scott Taylor has a very informative take on Attaran in the current issue of Espirit De Corps Magazine, plus the polling activities of Nick Nanos
whose company created in 1991 is a great friend to the former Martin Liberals. A post from a fellow by the name of Dwayne Adams, from Canada in the Globe and Mail today says some nasty things about the old "Shotgun Blog" jeez, I was unaware that
the Shotgun Bloggers are "Conservatives" but I don't think any are of the Green persuasion. There might be one or two Liberals - all Liberals please rise. MacLeo,d appalled at Globe and Mail media bias - Macleod

Having worked in Ontario for some time I would say that the current Liberal Government is highly vulnerable and can be defeated by Conservative Tory, who needs the best candidates available to save Ontario fom extinction. We advise potential commercial investor in Ontario to seek investment in Alberta or the State of New York. U T Pratt and Whitney Canada are seeking a new home on the USAF Base Plattsburg New York rather than additional expansion in Quebec -but they, Pratt have been in Quebec since 1928, but are beset by very agressive
Unions and Language Police - my opinion. They will
go to New York State. Israel Aerospace Industries
(IAI) chose Rome New York, several years ago, and have changed the entire employment picture in the Mohawk Valley - good news for Senator Clinton. Macleod

Comments on most "political" blogs in the Globe and Mail are dominated by Canadian tree huggers, various shades of greens, and running scared shitless Liberals - but they do not like to be put down in writing, at the moment a couple continue to attack Ezra, Editors and the venerable Shot Gun - but my perspective with most of them remains constant, most do not do their homework, particularly on the Colonel Noonan issue and his connection wiith the
totally biased Canadian Press and the Globe and Mail. One guy from Moncton just posted that the Red Star supported Brian Mulroney and Steven Harper for PM, they in fact supported Chretien and Martin, no question. Senator Keith Davey got the Star in his Liberal Pocket Decades ago, and the
shrill ladies of the Parliamentry Press Gallery
mostly from the CBC - went Liberal if they got a chance to touch Trudeau - now those were real politics - Red Star commenced it's totally biased reporting then - irony is that Trudeau treated all of them like scum - MacLeod

Well, well, well:

But why would they need to investigate something that Warren Kinsella has told us that is based on racist lies?

That sound you hear is another Lieberal government cracking up.

"Bev Oda, the Canadian minister in charge of copyright, has been caught taking funds from the entertainment companies she is supposed to regulate. Oda financed her campaign with giant, unseemly donations from the entertainment and pharmaceutical companies -- many of them US-based -- and was then embarrassed when it was revealed that she planned a $250/plate fundraiser, while in office, just two weeks before a major review of Canada's broadcasters."

"It seems the Con-Men aren't above dirty money either."
Presumably, this means that as both sides do it, you won't be supporting either side in the next election.
If not, what differentiates your support?
Posted by: h2o273kk9 | 2007-05-10 5:23:10 PM
Sorry, observer, but to quote Jules Winnfield: "...ain't the same ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same sport".
As dirty as Oda's money might be, a $35 million fund of public money that does little to make society better and is doled out to win an election is so far beyond the pale that comparisons are meaningless.
At least in the old days we got a railway or a resurfaced highway every year out of the graft. Now all we get is theft.
