Where are the Brits?

I Talked about the Britons who were captured by the IRGC, and now UK's Times Online is reporting that British sailors were moved to IRGC's Ghasr-e-Firouzeh complex in east of Tehran.

Let's take a look at where they are. I pinpointed two IRGC facilities in east of Tehran, within Ghasre Firouzeh area, through Google earth satellite pictures. And those are places where these poor guys might be held.

The first image shows the entire Ghasre Firouzeh military complex where Iranian armed forces from regular army, air force, IRGC and Police forces are located and have their own bases and buildings. The area also houses the biggest military hospital of the middle east belonging to Air Force and built by Americans in late 70s. It was once a restricted area until mid 1990s and then Tehran was booming so fast that the government had to make some highways around this area and started opening it up to ease the heavy traffic of eastern part of Tehran. Ghasre Firouzeh or Turquoise Palace has taken its name from a Qajarid era palace that is located in that area. Check this image

The Iraqi POWs of 1980s had been settled in a stadium and military prison of Ghasre Firouzeh area until 1991-92.

The 2nd image shows us where IRGC Mechanized Infantry Division is located. And the third one showing us the IRGC main HQ. These are heavily defended areas and armed guards watch over high watch-towers 24/7. Moreover, east of Tehran has always been a place for military facilities. IRGC missile manufacturing factory is just couple of miles away from this area.

The entire incident will be getting more interesting as days go by. Just let's hope they are released soon...

News flash: Iranians shot at Americans

If you are tire lying, wimping, phony politicians and you'd really like to somebody blowing their brains out ... go see "Shooter" with Mark Walberg. Sure, it's only a movie, but it will make you feel better for a couple of hours.

This whole war with Islam is really tiresome and idiotic because it's being managed by idiots. Not that I think we should quit ... On the contrary, I think we should take of the gloves and start doing some serious killing. Otherwise, how can we win? But then, maybe it's just me.

That website is a cheap copycat of what google earth used to offer a year ago.

Kidnapping plus murder are the standards of international activities by the Islamic Republic of Iran, whereas they feel they can intimidate any country in the world by their overt criminal acts without retribution. Mark my words the Taliban will
focus on kidnapping Canadian Military and non Military personnel in Afghanistan as a form of coercion -How will MacKay our Super Wimp react? The Russians when subjected, destroyed entire villages and towns - but Canada does not do that any more
-we certainly did in World War II and Korea MacLeod

Jack, it would appear you'd be pulling for Lizzie May, the Greenie, to defeat Peter McKay next election. That won't happen, she's so full and flowing with bullshit, like Gore and Suzuki, she's about to implode.

We're a little slow on the uptake here in Canada but we do catch up in the nick of time
Gore is now getting gored and exposed for the charlatan he is.

Liz J: "she's so full ... she's about to implode."

I love your science! No wonder you're so cavalier about overloading the biosphere, if you assume that overfilling a space causes it to contract in a 1+1=0 fashion.

I suppose that'd explain Iraq or Lebanon too. "Lots of men with guns plus lots more men with guns equals peace."

It's all making sense now. This site I mean. You're not crazy, you just missed out on first grade math class.

As I have often sttaed on this site -Peter MacKay is the weak link in the otherwise highly competent Harper Government - we all know the MacKay family and the formerly Honorable Elmer PC and you don't
Elmer MacKay and Don Mazinkowski were the bright lights in Mulroney's government. We also know Ms May and her truly horrible Mother - a ban the nuclear plants maven from the USA -As pointed out in the Halifax Herald today, Ms. May is responsible for the death and destruction of thousands of softwood trees
near the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, a sitaution we have pointed to National media many times. MacKey is in a traditional Progressive Conservative Riding -lucky for him he would never have been elected in Halifax HRM. May's choice is her idea of a clever plan to gain additional publicity -I personally consider all "Greens" scum -and fools.

A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof. And when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven.

Was it not members of the Iraninan Republican Guard, masquerading as Hizb'allah, who captured Israeli soldiers after tunnelling in south Lebanon?

Or am I destroying too many memory cells?

Seems like the same tactic. I'm surprised nobody in the MSM has caught onto the similarity yet. Hang on a sec ... that should read, I am NOT surpised the geniuses in the MSM have not caught onto this tactic.

Thanks for your kind words Bushy, they warrant deliberation.

Posted by: Liz J | 2007-03-26 8:54:09 AM

SYF is right - but it apperas MSM particularly in the UK and US are catching on to the use of murder and kidnapping as a matter of National Policy by the
Islamic Republic of Iran, especially since they have a BBC loudmouth in captivity at the moment. I did not intend to go off topic commenting on Ms. May
but she was provided with a substantial Federal job by Chretien the saviour of lost souls -da proof is da proof. Kidnapping and murder of Canadians in Afghanistan will be a Taliban Tactic soon if not sooner but we are all wary of Peter the Pretender here in the Real East -MacLeod

Posted by: Jack Macleod | 2007-03-26 10:10:32 AM

Does anyone else think Gore is starting to get gored in the US? There seems to be a sudden awakening, like, hold on a minute, something doesn't add up!

Old Al can't answer any questions, just ignore them and ramble on with the diatribe.

Jack, thanks for all the good info on Politics in and around the beautiful Atlantic Provinces.
Guess we won't worry about Lizzie May's chances in Central Nova but gotta give her credit for cockeyed optimism. Unlike Gore, she loves to answer questions and ramble on and on and with enthusiasm.

How can this situation be compared with a historic situation? Well with the american hostages 27 years ago?

Let's see if the Brits still have guts. Or maybe they will try to appease the crocodile?

Posted by: Rémi Houle | 2007-03-26 10:52:17 AM

Peter The Pretender is Harper's dispenser of "Pork"
in the Atlantic Region particularly in Central Nova and the rest of the various Hickvilles, through the notorious Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency ACOA
a Liberal Fifedom -every employee, repeat every employee got the job through Liberal Patronage
Chretien style, where "ability" means nodding
if an ACOA flunkey appears on our horizons we immediately throw them out -most are unemployable
in the real world, none could compose a letter in French, even the argot Acadian version of "French"
-in summary, Honorable Peter MacKay PC, MP will
easily win - whenever -MacLeod

Posted by: Jack Macleod | 2007-03-26 10:53:05 AM

Jack, do you see a scenario where ACOA will get a thorough housecleaning?

Posted by: Liz J | 2007-03-26 11:36:51 AM

Give them a deadline to release the Marines, if they don't then blockade their ports (or if you prefer "quarantine" a la Cuban Missile Crisis). Maybe their airspace too.

Luckily, the U.S. just sent another aircraft carrier to the region, if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure they'd be glad to assist.

Posted by: Joan Tintor | 2007-03-26 11:42:35 AM

Harper will need a Majority in order to "house clean
ACOA" because to the average tax payer in the Atlantic Region ACOA"s mandate now extends to support for essential community services which were
the traditional venue of Public Works and Environment Canada, but ACOA takes full "political credit" Mackay knows this but is playing the game
to ensure in his mind at least public support. ACOA in actual fact is focused on undermining the Harper Government -we see blatant examples every day. ACOA HO should be moved from Moncton to Ottawa and a new Minister preferably a Woman from Alberta - MacLeod
