Arrr, ye be warmin' me globe, says I
Remember the old rustic proverb:
If ‘tis warm in December
It be global warming you must remember
But if it be cold in Jan
That means even more products we must ban
And if in Feb it’s just 53 and partly sunny with occasional showers
That means ye Earth will only survive a few more hours.

A global warming enthusiast seeks "Nuremburg style trials" for those to denied the happening of climate change.
"When we've finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we're in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards -- some sort of climate Nuremberg."
This is the mindset of the Liebral, Dipper and Green Parties. They're so desperate to push their agenda they're willing to destroy their own credibility in the process. Go ahead, let them.
Whether or not climate change is happening, it does not justify the sheer stupidity of the Kyoto Accords. With Ontario's auto industry exempt (and by extention, Ontario and the principle voting base for all three parties mentioned above) Kyoto can never be implemented fairly in Canada. If Dion, Layton or whats-her-name try to raid Alberta to do it, we have not only the right to secede but the obligation. Everyone participates, no exemptions for the privileged.

Count me in for Alberta secession. And I wouldn't wait for Ottawa to threaten us. I'm for a pre-emptive secession NOW!

Secede Now! Avoid the July rush!

I thought we were an enlightened country. In other words,I thought we were smart enough to separate the church and state.
Global warming has indeed become a religion...complete with zealots, myths and prophecies of armageddon.
However,we are told we can be saved if we just believe....lest ye be persecuted as a heretic!

Observer:
The Kyoto people say that we can only be saved if we pay through the nose for Kyoto.
In that sense, this is a form of religion. More specifically, it's a form of corrupt evangelism like from Jim Bakker et al. It might even be compared to the Saudi billionaires' contributing to Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups, turning a blind eye to their real intentions.
If we must fight global warming, so be it. But Kyoto is not the way. No exemptions for Ontario, no exporting of money for carbon credits, and effective oversight of how the money is spent.
The reason why Liebrals, Dippers and Greenies don't understand our opposition is because they operate on a blank check idea of solving issues. Throw enough money at it, and it'll go away. That is a very careless attitude to have. Worse, they insist on using Alberta's energy wealth to pay for it all. The world could be at stake, but a few privileged groups are exempted.
I'm tempted to ask if the Liebrals, Dippers and Greenies think Albertans are that stupid, but we already know that answer. It's part of the Ontario's bigotry. If they try to make us pay for Kyoto, then we'll leave.

ZP,
You call it"pay through the nose".
Many religions consider it a"tithe"
Anyways, before you get all hot and bothered about seceding, give Harper a chance to open the eyes of those leftists infecting Vancouver so BC has a fair chance of ending it's slave/master relationship with the east too!

Our new Environmentalist Overlords plan to take better care of you than you can take care of yourself! Which is real nice of them! Why won't you submit? They haven't blown up nearly as much stuff as the Muslims have, so you see what nice guys they are! Although their 'information' campaigns are meant to make people live in fear....

Observer: in Islam, they call it dhimmi, or a special tax on non-believers.
I agree that we should give Harper a chance. He's done well so far. However, if he's defeated and his successors impose Kyoto, the urge to secede may be irresistable. Hopefully before then Kyoto will have been totally discredited and a new, improved plan will be implemented.
Remember: Albertans live on the planet Earth too. We're not immune to the same problems. We also have rights and the will to defend them.

The zealots want the "problem" of "global warming" to be solved by someone else taking the hit. If you check out the number of cars on the 401 and the QEW on any given afternoon the sheer hypocrisy of it highly evident. If it was such a big deal, why wouldn't the Ontario government, for instance ban cars? Nope. It is all about Alberta. Big bad AB. I heard today the the libs are slightly ahead of the CPC in the polls country-wide. What is with this country? Do they want pinochio to be in power? Another inarticulate frenchman? If they get back into power, I say this country blew an opportunity, and deserves every bad thing that the experimental social engineers do to it.

Vancouver PR flack, Jim Hoggan has made quite a name for himself by slagging the credentials, motives and ethics of scientists who don't meekly accept the revealed wisdom of AGM. He gained national notoriety with a TV appearance in which he blasted Friends of Science for accepting indirect funding from evil big oil®.
Hoggan's muckraking blog (www.desmogblog.com)reportedly employs two "researchers". Hoggan's backers and clients include the Suzuki Foundation (he sits on its board) and other Luddite outfits. (No conflict of interest there, eh?) He rails against anyone remotely connected with Exxon for unethically touching dirty money, but he apparently has no qualms about the hefty support he has been receiving from multimillionaire internet gambling tycoon, John Lefebvre. Well guess what, yesterday, noted philanthropist and community pillar Lefebvre was arrested by U.S. federal agents and charged with money laundering. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in the slammer. He's free on $5 million bail.
I wonder what ol' Jim will have to say about that?
How sweet it is!
Sort of adds credence to my earlier statement that some evangelists of the Apocalytic Church of Climatology are to the environment what Jim and Tammy Bakker were to Christianity.

Zog:
Amen, brother.
Unless we believes, unless we have blind faith, even if we believe, we's all doomed anyway, brother.
The sky is falling! The sky is fallin!
Let us gather up our memories of cool days while we can.
Because, if we don'ts believe, we'll all burn.
Amen, brother.
