What a wonderful song! I must have played it a half dozen times already and can't get enough of it. What a wonderful girl! Makes me think of the soldiers who came to liberate my country in WWII. And proud to support our 'diggers' 60 years later. God bless'm!

damn you mike, you made me cry, its been a long time since i did that. throughout our history, its always been about our soldiers being ordinary cdns we grew up with, just being who they are, doing there duty. there not monsters, they are the soldiers that smile a lot and want to talk to people wherever they are. but they also are thebest damn killers when need be. always have been. and from many races and creeds. i remember my grandfather talking about how the japanese cdns. who could barely speak english, would take off for days in world war 1 and come back with prisoners and huge kill rates and worship the queen in rituals. were a strange bunch in canada but our military is our strength and our unity

That video is so good it's almost up to American standards...almost.

remembrance day is coming up, i wish every cdn would spend some time looking at the national war memorial. look at those young men in tin hats that are shit upon by birds and below by drunken teenagers. look at there faces and there agony. thousands of cdns gave there lives in horrible conditions for our country, and young cdns are willing to give there lives today. christmas is coming up, send them cards and letters, supporting them, its the least you can do. they deserve it, they always have, always will

Digger troops, Nancy Boy Nation explains it better.
How Sad!

It would be a pity if Taliban Jack Layton didn't have the YouTube Beccy Cole tribute to the Australian forces emailed to him.
Remind him why we are essentially still a free country.
Canadian putting their lives at risk so we stay free of Taliban and sharia law in this country.
God Bless Beccy Cole.
Shame on Taliban appeasers.

This is a better message!
"When Johnny comes marching home again,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give him a hearty welcome then
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The men will cheer and the boys will shout
The ladies they will all turn out
And we'll all feel gay,
When Johnny comes marching home.
The old church bell will peal with joy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
To welcome home our darling boy
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The village lads and lassies say
With roses they will strew the way,
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home.
Get ready for the Jubilee,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give the hero three times three,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The laurel wreath is ready now
To place upon his loyal brow
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home.
Let love and friendship on that day,
Hurrah, hurrah!
Their choicest treasures then display,
Hurrah, hurrah!
And let each one perform some part,
To fill with joy the warrior's heart,
And we'll all feel gay
When Johnny comes marching home"

DJ:
I'm guessing those lyrics are from a time where gay meant ‘happy' and not sodomizer.

No critique on that beautiful, from the heart song of tribute by Beccy Cole to the soldiers of her Country, Australia, the Country with one gutsy, no nonsense Prime Minister, John Howard.
Send it to a soldier you know!
Why worry about Layton hearing it? He'd think it was offensive to the Taliban.

If you read the blurb that comes with that video, you will know that Beccy, spited a large chunk of her fan base with this video.
That is a risky think to do as the Dick Head Chicks found out in Texas.
In Beccy's case I think she has replace them by a margin of 100 to one. This video is making the rounds and I will be looking to buy her music ... Perhaps I will find some of it at Amazon.
I have posted this video on my little pissant blog as well.

Have you heard of the band the Killers admonishing Green Day for the American Idiot song?
This is not getting a lot of play.

All I can say is good for her. She makes the North American leftie celebrities look like the chumps they really are.
I believe that the majority of celebrities here are only parroting what the socialist public here wants to hear. This is all in hopes of remaining popular, once again good for her, I think I'll by a cd of hers just to support her.

the toronto sun had an editorial about how ontario school boards are backing out of coop programs for there students for the cdn military. this is the same school boards(toronto) that has a program for teaching kids to have safe violent homosexual sex, but having young people make good money serving our country is bad. i sometimes wonder, why myself and many others have had to put up with this left wing, pervert view from from liberals and ndp type for so many years. but i know why, i love my country, and cdn soldiers have never asked for worship, never asked for anything

i would like to ask anyone who would listen to me, lets make christmas special to our troops. lets start by sending them letters now, write to them and let them know that cdns are praying and thinking about them. if you want to find out how, im sure your local armoury can provide the info, or the defense dept.. write now, and plan for christmas, they are there, and we should not forget them

Real Canadians are getting the message to our troops too. On Tuesday night a group of soldiers from the Calgary area who had returned from Afghanistan got a standing ovation from 18,000 Flames fans at the Saddledome.
Taliban Jack would get booed out of the building if he had the cojones to come here.

No one disputes that Canada's soldiers are brave but they don't belong in Afghanistan. We don't understand the country. We don't understand the people. We don't understand the political situation. Harper and his supporters talk a lot about freedom and democracy when Afghanistan is run by warlords who are getting rich in the opium trade. Hamid Karzai barely controls Kabul. He is president of Afghanistan in name only. We don't have to go to Afghanistan to find Muslim terrorists. They're right here in Canada. Instead of sending soldiers to die in Afghanistan we should be fixing our immigration system.

Michael, they have no choice. The main focus of the muslim world is to obliterate Israel. If they are allowed to do that, we are next on the agenda. This is what we are fighting, read this line, "Hilali responded: "After we clean the world of the White House first." Michael is this telling you anything about the muslim world? This is one of their revered leaders, educated and conformed to the death cult of islam. We can fight there now, or be besiged later here on our own soil.
Muslim cleric refuses to quit
27/10/2006 12:02 - (SA)
Aus press slam Muslim cleric
Uncovered women 'invite rape'
Sydney - Australia's most senior Muslim cleric refused to resign on Friday over his likening women without headscarves to "uncovered meat", saying he would only quit once the world was "clean of the White House".
As Prime Minister John Howard, a key United States ally, called for the Muslim community to act or risk a long-term stain on its image, Sheikh Taj Aldin al-Hilali was defiant over his comments that scantily-clad women invited rape.
After Friday prayers at his mosque in Sydney, the controversial Egyptian-born cleric was quizzed by a pack of news reporters over whether he would quit.
Hilali responded: "After we clean the world of the White House first."
The sheikh had previously described US President George W Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Howard as the axis of evil, a term originally employed by Bush to describe Iraq, Iran and North Korea.
Several Australian politicians and some members of the Islamic community had called for Hilali's resignation, but he still enjoyed grass roots support from his followers

Well done Beccy Cole. Very moving.
The following axiom is always true in mathematics; it is also generally true in politics.
"If it is not right, then it must be wrong."

Ah yes, but what is right and what is wrong?
Posted by: Johan I Kanada | 2006-10-27 9:57:02 AM
Well I watched about as much as I could stand. (I don't care for this style of music.) The question, as Michael pointed out, is not about whether we should love, respect, or care about soldiers. It's about whether we should have soldiers fighting in Afghanistan.
The "they want to take over the world" response is the rationale our rulers give us for every war. Surely, we should be suspicious of it by now. I don't think "they" want to take over our country. They want us to get out of theirs! We need to pay attention to just who is taking over the world! It's the USA.
Lots of people would like to "clean out" the white house. That doesn't mean they want to slaughter ordinary, working Canadians or impose Sharia law on them. How did that rich oil man in the White House manage to convince you that his interests are your interests, that what threatens him threatens you? (No need to answer that - it's a rhetorical question. I know the answer.)

syf,
Based on your comments here, I can safely say that my intellectual capacity is relatively speaking quite ok.
