Win a date with Ezra Levant, er, Ruby Dhalla...

Michael Ignatieff is auctioning various items to raise money for his leadership bid.

Amongst the items on sale...

...is a "lunch date" with Ontario MP Ruby Dhalla.

Canadian Press is reporting this morning that bids on the date with the "one time beauty queen and movie actress" have reached $151.

Perhaps I am a bit of a cynic, but I have to suspect that if someone running for the Conservative leadership sold a date with one of his supporters, he or she would be flayed in the press by the usual suspects.

Some things are only objectionable when conservatives do them.

The "Date" with Dr. Dhalla is probably the least disturbing thing up for auction. At least she's an intelligent person with whom one could have a productive discussion, even if she is a Liebral.

"Maritime Kitchen Party courtesy of Paul Zed"

I suppose that is just beers and hot dogs from New Brunswick. I'd rather go to Hooters, where I wouldn't feel so bad about exploiting people.

"a collection of classic campaign buttons"

what? Well I suppose those could be good for target practice with a .22 cal rifle (unregistered of course).

"even a vintage Liberal Red Book"

What does he mean, "vintage"? They probably have lots of them lying around because they never used any of them!

If these are the things the Liebrals have to do to rebuild their party, Mr. Harper can rest easy.

Ever had Newfoundland steak, Zeb? Mmmm, mmmm!
Fried slabs of baloney.

These auctions will only raise chicken feed and supply a new venue to mock, mock, mockaw!... the Liberals.

Sooooooooo, now the liberals are pimping out women to try and win popularity. They are so flip-flop on what they stand for. Next week they will be declaring that all the liberal women on parliment hill, should be wearing burqa's in support of the Hezzassholes. Retards, the lot of them.

Speller:

Can't say that I have ever had a NF steak.

It's ironic that the Liebrals are holding auctions to raise funds. The entire party itself has been up for sale to the highest bidder many times. For all their rhetoric about being the party of the people, they are nothing more than the paid agents of the rich people of Ontario. Same with the NDP.

The worst thing one can say about the CPC is that they are too dominated by Alberta. But right now that is hardly a bad thing - some fresh ideas are badly needed and Mr. Harper is doing very well.

Let's hope for a CPC majority in the next election, so then the Liebral state established by Pierre the Terrible and Jean the Crooked can be destroyed once and for all.

CTV reports that more Liebral MPs are up for sale - err, bid.

One can get a "Whale of a day" at Seaworld with Albina Guarnieri ($62 so far)

-Round of golf with John McCallum ($31)

-Fishing with Joe McGuire ($23)

-Biking with Alberta Liebral traitor Grant Mitchell ($62)

-Golf with John McKay ($102)

-Paul Zed's "martime kitchen party" includes:
"24 Moosehead beer, lobster and other New Brunswick delicacies. Time permitting, he will even personally deliver the goods. Top bid so far: $151."

That copy of the Liebral Red Book has yet to attract a bid!

For you Trudeauists, you can get:

-A program from the Liberals' 1984 convention, with a cover photo of the late Trudeau, has drawn a bid so far of $111.

-Contrast that with interest in a pair of earrings, featuring a miniature likeness of Trudeau's successor, John Turner. High bid? Zero.

(No surprise there!)

-Two photographs of Trudeau's predecessor, Lester Pearson? $16.

(Yuck!)

And on a potentially sobering note for anyone who thinks Ignatieff may be the party's next Trudeau, photos of the rookie MP's election victory in Etobicoke-Lakeshore have so far fetched a high bid of only $11.

(Nelson Muntz said it best: "Ha-ha!")

The Liebral Party of Canada Garage Sale will come next. Oddly enough their integrity, dignity, credibility and sensibility have all been sold to a Mr. B. Elzebub.

Here in the Picture Province we are in the midst of a provincial election. MSM have not caught on to the fact that there are two Liberal Parties in
NB, the traditional Irish Scots UEL, and the Acadians. The Acadians are supporting Dion as leader, whom Chretien treated like a midget bell hop. Zed comes from a long time Lebanese and highly thought of family from Saint John but is an opportunist. The former MInister fired by Chretien, Scott, but reinstated by Martin has vanished. In case anyone is interested this NB election is too close to call. Obviously the
Davey crowd around Ignatieff want a kinder more
"common touch" candidate. But Ignatieff will win
anyway. Say good bye to Mr. Kennedy by the way. MacLeod

Laugh it up folks, but just like the circus side show act called the Democrats down south, this clown act is truly only a few votes from being in power, they still hold over 100 seats in government, speaks volumes about a certain percentage of the electorate doesn't it?

I'd go to lunch with Belinda Stronach because she'd insist on the best grub. I'd try to talk her into running for the Liberal party leadship.8>)

Lunch with Ruby Dhalla is now at $1,001.00 and Button Collection 2 is at $91.00 with 9d 5h 31m remaining. John M Reynolds

The Liberanos 'use' brain dead women to advance the Liberano agenda. Think of the Cretian's 'fall girls' - Janie Stewart, Anny Mak, Broadshaw (Housing and poverty), S crow (the stripper gate gal), Oh that was paulie!, ......where ever there was dirty laundry the liberanos gave it to a female and let her take the flack. Nothing new here..move along. Thank Heaven and the real Canadian voters (including the real Canadian Woman voters) we got rid of the thieves, thugs, racists, and weak kneed males who used to run this beautiful country. I don't care who wins that sad sack show in lala Liberano land - I do not believe that the majority of Canadians will 'fall' for that sordid outfit again.

Ruby Dhalla movie actress??? or wannabe movie actress??? Try googling her name with "movie actress" and you'll find no filmography.

Usually when people want to be a movie actress, they want to be a "star." As far as being an actress, isn't that one of the qualifications of becoming a lieberal????

Ruby Dhalla may in fact be a movie actress

Yeh deep blue, try the toronto corridor. There are enough dumb ones left there with the voting power to return us to the s--t hole they called Canada.

Ditto WC.

But I agree with jema54, the common sense folk, even if they have become the minority in Canada (and at times it seem like we have) simply will not stand for the pathetic apathy that has passed for government in this country for far, far too long, untill Harper came along.

I for one am not going back to that embarrassment again.

Dhalla seems to be a bit of an exhibitionist, enjoys the spotlight, given to emoting.
Watching her in the House in QP it's quite evident, it's look at me! Ruby Dee is acting on behalf of the Libranos for her constituents , so she is, in effect, an actress at this point, however who the hell ever heard of her in Canada before politics?

Darn! You could have counted me in if it had been a date with Ezra?

No Ezra?

No go.

"Lunch with Ruby Dhalla is now at $1,001.00"

I'd love to go, but I'd have to rob a jewelry store to afford it.
