Goodbye Brian

Brian Neale, who runs Nealenews, the excellent news-aggregator website, announced today that he's turning out the lights. Brian had a great nose for the stories that other websites and media were missing, including those that broke on the blogosphere (a resource that other media are still behind in exploiting).

Sorry to see you go Nealenews. And thanks for four great years.

Brian Neale, unlike every single contributor to The Shotgun, is a legitimate Canadian conservative. This is terrible news, but was it Bodhidharma - or 90s one-hit wonder Semisonic - who once said "every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end"?

Nealenews is one of the first half dozen sites I check daily. I'll sure miss it.

Someone needs to fill the void. Or at least try to fill the void. Don't make me read Bourque!!!

I am SO sad to see Neale News go :( It was my first stop for Canadian news every morning, and it was the website I checked most often during the day for news and referencing. I hope Brian will reconsider OR consider letting someone take over until he has the time and energy to run his site again :(

Was my #1 news site...damn. Wonder if he'll be reborn, again?
