Funny as a crutch
Remember the Iranian newspaper that announced it was holding a contest to come up with the best Holocaust cartoon? Here they are.
Are they any good? Maybe if you think there's something funny about the fact that every single one of them is a slight variation on the same theme: Muslims as victim. But since that's really more delusional than it is funny, you might prefer some truly riotous anti-Semitic toons courtesy of . . .the Israelis.

Perfect, Kevin. There's really nothing to add or say.

Interesting that there haven't been any rabbis inciting the faitful to murder Iranians/Muslims, nor Jewish mobs burning buildings and other property. Nor did Christians riot when so-called art insulted the core of their faith.
The lesson is that it really was never about cartoons, n'est-ce pas?

Should we demand beheadings of all those cartoonists? I'm sure they'd understand!
Now, seriously:

Where do we meet to burn down the mosques?
Funny how the MSM don't pick up on this.

The one that has the comedian being kicked out the window for telling a Jew joke was funny. Some truth to that one, I hate to say.

Hmmm. . .interesting point To[sic]ScaredToSay. After all, what evidence exists that Jews have the ability to laugh at themselves? Oh, wait, how about the Israeli Anti-Semitic Cartoon Contest that appears in this very post.
Still not convinced? Go to Amazon and search "Jewish Jokes."
Here, I did it for you:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=br_ss_hs/002-3757320-2682431?search-alias=aps&keywords=jewish%20jokes
What's that, about three pages of books filled with jokes about Jews?
Now search under "Muslim Jokes."

Jews can laugh at themselves! And they're funny (we're funny, I'm 1/2 Jew). But do you notice the need of North American medias to give them a plug always. Or defend them ASAP, as you did.
One example, cause I don't want my comment to be twisted into something it's not, as you've started to do.
Christmas: when it is called Christmas, instead of Holiday Day or Wookie Life Day, you always get a tagged on Chanukah wishes. Maybe with Christmas under fire so much, the attention should just be on Christmas.
In Jewish celebrations, Chanukah is the equivelent of Lent. But because of PC and not to offend, it's been elevated. Evevated higher than Christmas, since it's allowed to get mentioned by name. So not to offend, and get tossed out of a window.
To quote the Simpsons.
Nelson: Adults! You strut around like your farts don't stink!

My point being this. There is a double standard here when dealing with Jews. Jews can joke at themselves, but not others. One can't critize Jews (unless they're a socialist, then it's expected of them). So quick their House Christians comes out to defend them. If they can take a joke, why can't they take criticism? Maybe the criticism has some merit, or maybe there's confusion in its origin (the House Christian comment was a joke btw).
Not saying the West needs to become Nazi Germany to get rid of this real double standard. Extremism is wrong, always. Jews deserve a break, they've had it rough for quite some time. But they shouldn't be treated as an endangered species under protection, but just as another group of people of the world. No better, no worst.

"If they can take a joke, why can't they take criticism?" -- AnOnymous, nee ToScaredToSay
Yeszz, good point. For thousands of years now, Jews have managed to avoid criticism.

Well the general level of YAWN, says it all doesn't it?
Which begs the question, So WHY DID THE MUSLIMS react the way they did?
They seem to think the rest of us, religious or not would react like them, get our knickers in a nasty knot!
But we aren't, and we won't and we couldn't care less!
Now if we wanted to lampoon Margaret Atwood and Can Lit, I think there might be a ripple, but hey can we be forgiven for wondering why they demand freedoms that they aren't willing to extend to others.
I think the Dutch have a good idea going!
see the link for some news on that!

I agree anon, of course anti-semetic material is wrong any way you look at it. But again I ask, why this double standard in our society, why are Jews treated like an endangered species under protection whereas other religous/minority groups are fair targets???
