Tobin out

I, Kevin Steel, would like to take this opportunity to announce that I do not intend to seek the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada. My primary reason is that nobody wants me to run; there's that plus family considerations. I had hoped to get my announcement out before Brian Tobin told everyone he isn't running either, but I got distracted doing the dishes. You too can proclaim your non-candidacy in this thread. Let the world know.

I'm think'n that there must be some really big skeletons in that Liberal closet.

Jeff, I think you are right, skeletons, and Harper and crew had better start digging. If they can prove they were a bunch of crooks as was done in Sask. with Devine and thieves they will guarantee themselves a decade or so in Office.

I thought you all would be interested in this possible candidate for "interim leader."

Globe and Mail with their usual patronizing comment report that "Tobin Is Out Of The Leadership Race" - it is difficult to opt out of a race that you were never in; in fact, there is
no "leadership race" in the Liberal Party. Liberal Caucus will choose an interim leader, and
commence the process of advising the Party executive to consider an "Leadership Convention"
-Party might decide on such an activity, and then
again, they may not. The Liberal Party executive
existant should be excommunicated, purged, fired
disposed of, sent packing along with Martin's PMO
flunkies. About two years from now, the Liberal Party will choose from the 2008 "leadership
candidates list", which will feature surprising
entrants, prepared to spend, as I have indicated
in earlier posts, several years in opposition. I
suspect a number of Liberal MP's will walk away
from political life by resignation, rather than
spend time in the opposition benches.

I, Brian Mulroney, pledge to fix bids to favour eastern provinces, declare Quebec a distinct society, rant profanity-laced obscenities to a journalist and then get upset when he publishes them, introduce a country-wide sales tax, delay the demolition of the NEP by three years, and not seek the leadership of the Liberal Party.
