Yes, that drum is well and truly worn out. The 3 Conservative candidates in MetroVancouver mentioned in the article who have supposed "ties to anti-gay groups" or strong personal Christian beliefs were very narrowly defeated. From what I read in the Vancouver media, those issues didn't play a large part in the campaigns and had little to do with their defeats. The writer at Xtra West needs to find another reason for those defeats, since those three ridings will likely be CPC next time.
