Paul Martin, a look back

Yesterday, Bourque highlighted a story with the words "Despite years of massive Cdn gvt funding Bombardier snubs Canada for China." Hey, what's the big deal? Bombardier isn't the only one to snub Canada and transfer jobs and technology over to Communist China. Check this Thursday May 8, 1986 item from Xinhua General Overseas News Service (bolding mine):

LENGTH: 144 words
HEADLINE: CITIC signs deal with canadian transportation company
DATELINE: Beijing, May 8; ITEM NO: 0508108
BODY:
A business cooperation agreement was signed here today between CITIC (China International Trust and Investment Corporation) and CSL (Canada Steamship Lines Inc.). Under the agreement, CITIC will provide various support and assistance services for CSL in connection with its developing business interests in China, particularly in the area of dry bulk commodities transportation. The agreement was signed by CITIC president Xu Zhaolong and CSL chairman Paul E. Martin. After the signing, Martin told Xinhua that CSL is interested in transfering technology connected with self-unloading bulk vessels. The transfer would include technical assistance to Chinese shipyards related to the design and construction of self-unloading carriers. CSL is also interested to invest in joint ventures in China in the area of water transportation of dry bulk commodities.

Bombardier is part of the Desmarais/Stronach/Liberal Corporate Welfare Bum cabal. Bombardier gets lots of backdoor EDC type financing out of Ottawa.

Also, Buzz has now joined the cabal because the auto industry is about to implode and Buzz’s job will disappear: unless, unless the Liberals get re-elected and then we the taxpayers pony up even more support for these Big 3 American unionized dinosaurs.

Job 1 for conservatives is to get a minority government and with a coalition of the willing we’ll need to do a massive audit of everything Ottawa touches. As mentioned, the Crown Corporation EDC pumps all kinds of support to Bombardier. When some of these transactions financed go sour, we don’t see them because they get hidden in something called the Canada Account. The phoney excuse for hidding them is client confidentiality. That’s a lie, it really means Librano$$ confidence scheme. The Senate has had enquiries into this EDC Canada Account, they understand it’s a pork barrel but they have no power to get the Auditor General in to have a look at the EDC’s books.

Again, we have to get elected. Then we need to spend the next 18 months doing audits. If we accomplished nothing else but audits the Canadian people would be well served. This thing is a minefield, the Liberals know it, this will be a dirty fight to keep us away from the books.

You know, the Martin/Demarais/Strong China ploy has been staring Canadians in the face for years. You'd think someone would dig a little deeper, give some attention to getting the message out. But the media give the cabal a free ride every time. Having managed to squeeze Conrad Black out (and get a friendly investment firm to go after him in the US---ably lead by Sheriff Patrick Fitzgerald of PlameGate fame) they got the Aspers to blunt the National Post. Distinctly anti-conservative people like Sheldon Alberts applies an anti-Bush spin to his reports from the US and Don Martin never misses a chance to subtly undermine Harper.

Strong and Martin are cosy-ing up to the Chinese communists and the People's Army at every opportunity. No wonder US defence people are leary of Martin. It's not the public chest-thumping, it's what's being quietly passed on behind the scenes.

China is the great threat for the 21st century. Do we really want to see the Chinese navy guarding Chinese oil rigs in our Arctic waters? Do we really want our oilsands and timber owned by the Chinese?

Harper stresses his defence policy is "Canada First". And to defend that stance we are going to have to choose our friends, and choose soon. Maurice Strong belongs in the same dock as Kofi Annan and his son, a platoon of French diplomats and Ministers, and the whole regiment of the EU pro-Saddam, anti-Israel satraps. Time someone was made to explain what has really been happening in the last 20 years or so.

Perfect analysis from all of you (Kevin, nomdenet and Patrick). Kevin- I hope you've sent this to Harper's guys. Send it to the Canadian Press but they'll ignore it. Send it anyway, and keep a paper trail - to show how they ignore what Martin and the Desmarais etc Cartel are doing.

Quick, let's give Bombardier a contract for the Canadian Air Force's fixed-wing SAR aircraft (without the useful capability as a light tactical transport); would keep a few jobs in, guess where, Toronto.
