Another one bites the dust
Another week, another resignation or firing at the First Nations University of Canada in Regina. Today comes word that the vice-president of academics has quit, citing the impossibility of working with the current administration (which was installed by the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations). The university faces a $3-million deficit; it may yet persuade a government to bail it out, but its reputation won't be so easily repaired.

At this rate, the First Nations University of Canada will disappear without a trace before classes ever start.
I agree with Mr. O'Neill that a government bailout is probably the only thing that will save this institution from total annihilation.
One question still remains. Is it worth bailing out FNUC, based on its poor track record of financial responsibility and maintaining staff members? Right now, the answer is a definite "no."
