Punishing The French
Jacques Chirac has named Dominique de Villepin (who is not a woman) as France's new Prime Minister. One can only conclude that the appointment of the carefully coiffed foreign minister is intended to punish the French for refusing to approve the EU Constitution.

Thanks to LGF, I see that the BBC's website report contains the following:
"But the BBC's Caroline Wyatt in Paris says that as a career diplomat never elected to public office, he of all candidates most typifies the French elite so roundly rejected by the French people on Sunday."
Ouch! Not only is that a perfectly valid observation, but consider the source. When even the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation gets snarky at you, you have a SERIOUS credibility problem.
