The Libranos

Our new magazine, making its way to subscribers right now, is our best yet. Here's the cover:

Cover_small_20050516

Inside is a glossy 17" x 22" poster of The Libranos (the cover art without the headlines, and with fun fake movie "credits"), gorgeous artwork by Rob Kelly. Definitely a collector's item. It's huge. And check out Paul Martin's face.

The Western Standard is great to read online. But only our subscribers get the poster.

Damn... ya got me, had no choice but to subscribe.

Ya just gotta make an option for subscribers to purchase additional copies of the poster to hang on screeching Annies office windows..

Ezra ~

I received my copy in the mail today (charter subscriber, eh what?). Excellent! Thanks!

Question: Do the newstand copies have it in them? I have a message with the cover thumbnail queued to my mailing list to tell them to go out and buy it, if so.

I'll check when I'm out tomorrow (I want a couple more copies), but if anyone knows let me know and I can send the message tonight. After all, this issue may soon become scarce!

Newsstand copies have the poster too. But they take a little longer to get on the shelves.

Thanks, Kevin, I sent my message to my mailing list.

It's the "Mount Rushmore of Canadian Corruption" poster, I tell ya.

Actually, Tony - my Libranos graphic predated your comment. But thanks for the plug.

Thanks for the update, Kate.

I've updated by 2004-04-21 web log entry thereto.

Indeed, Kate's original graphic was the inspiration for the cover design and poster—we did it with her permission, of course. She also was responsible for most of the hard work in putting the main story together. In other words, we couldn't have put this issue out without her. Thanks again, Kate.

How about making lawn signs available with that block out universal symbol,as in No Libranos.I know that I would buy one,and put it in a prominent place, during the election.

Hey,this is really cool! Which day's issue is it from? On the homepage, it says that this issue is the current one, but I can't find it on any newstands currently.
