Canadians advertising support for Bush-Cheney

My parents returned from their annual trip to the United States to enjoy the autumn leaves and they brought me back a Bush-Cheney lawn sign and several Bush-Cheney bumper stickers. Does anyone think it safe for me to put these on my lawn and car here in north Toronto? Has anyone else seen a car with Canadian plates with such a sticker? My own count in Toronto is one car with a Bush-Cheney bumper sticker to about a dozen for Kerry.

I think it depends on what kind of car you drive. If you have an SUV, the bumper sticker may be all that is needed to push an angry someone into keying your door. If you drive a small car, however, chances are said angry person will think the sticker is ironic and give your car a pass.

My parents are now visiting my brother in New Hampshire. They're bringing back Bush/Cheney stickers/buttons for me to display. Many around here seem to be Bush haters, but I personally have not been hoodwinked by the left-wing establishment media regarding the incumbents. Although I don't agree with all Bush/Cheney policies, I think are doing a good job in protecting our country against terrorism.

Of course it isn't safe. All the more reason to do it. Cars get keyed all the time for no reason whatever; why not wear it as a badge of honour?

That lone Bush-Cheney bumper sticker you saw was probably my son's, and no, his car has not been keyed nor has he noted any increase in being cut off.

It's much more fun to wear a button, though. You get to see the look of horror on people's faces.
