Iran flips the bird to the UN

Iran's dance around the UN's IAEA resolution continues. It's incredible how effective resolutions, warnings, and demands are without consequences. Ahhh thats right... you have to have a spine to stand up and eforce something. It's all coming clear now....S.K.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran said Saturday it had resumed building nuclear centrifuges, which Washington says are intended to enrich uranium to weapons-grade for use in bombs.

Iran's decision backtracks from a pledge in October to the European Union (news - web sites)'s "big three" members -- Britain, France and Germany -- to suspend all uranium enrichment-related activities.

"We have started building centrifuges," Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi told a news conference.

However he insisted Iran had not resumed enriching uranium, the key part of the process which can either produce fuel for power stations or bomb material.

The Iranian mullahs think they can get away with this crap because the U.S. spent its one shot in the Middle East on Iraq. If they can keep the West at bay for just a little longer, they stand to gain serious points in the Arab world for 'successfully defying the American imperialist dogs.'

Oh, and as a side benefit, they'll have a nuclear weapon.

The question really is: are we going to let these psychopaths develop nuclear weapons?

Of course, the Israelis might well take the matter into their own hands. Osirik: The Sequel.
