Oh puh-leeeze

First Kim Campbell makes the National Geographic "50 Most Important Political Leaders".

Now Belinda Stronach has been named one of TIME's 100 most influential people.

"...some admirers were already comparing her to the young Margaret Thatcher."

Ok, where do they live, so I can confront them in person? Long blonde hair? Can't be that. Inspiring speaking style? Nope. Shopkeeper's daughter? Er, not exactly.

This is what passes for thoughtful mainstream journalism. But then you all knew that already.

Would she have made the list if she was dog ugly. Nope.

You know: I really don't find her that attractive. But of course I'm a (catty) female speaking. That hair is expensive but doable (see Ann Coulter). Otherwise I find her rather horsey (see Ann Coulter).

She's not gorgeous, but she provides pleasant contrast to Sheila Copps and Libby Davies. ;-)
