Peter Schiff talks about his father, the tax protester Irwin Schiff

The crew from the Motorhome Diaries stopped by Euro Pacific Capital, Peter Schiff's investment company, recently. They sat down to speak with Peter, who is planning a possible run for the Connecticut Senate, about his father, Irwin Schiff. Here's the video:

Irwin Schiff was convicted recently at the age of 81, to serve a 13-year sentence for tax evasion. Irwin claims that the federal income tax in the U.S. is unconstitutional, and does not have legal weight. To prove it, he refused to pay his income tax. The government put him in prison.

Peter Schiff is well known in the Austrian economics community, as well as amongst fans of Texas Congressman and former Republican leadership contestant Ron Paul, for his Austrian-based prediction of the housing and stock market collapse. He is currently predicting significant declines in the value of the U.S. dollar.

Here's a video compilation of Peter Schiff's predictions before the recession:

The crew of the Motorhome Diaries (Jason Talley and Pete Eyre) will be in attendance at this year's Liberty Summer Seminar over the July 25, 26 weekend.

Yes, the buffoonery of government has always been destructive and predictable.

Interesting how the accurate forecaster is marginalized by the more positive but ultimately inaccurate forecasters. Feel good trumps truth. That must be why Ron Paul is so reviled by the beautiful people. That and his somewhat impish demeanor. I wonder if Art Laffer cringes every time he thinks back to those interviews.

Most don't want the responsibility that comes with Liberty. Schiff knows what he's talking about. People just don't want to hear him...especially when a lying government seduces then with false platitudes.

Bailout 2008, a poem by David Jeffrey:

Like a bloodied warrior,
laying broken and torn.

Like a dying soldier, hopeless and forlorn.

But the blood, it be green,
the color of money.

And the soldier is an economy,
and it is anything but funny.

Broken are it’s people and shattered are their dreams.

Thanks to the ultra rich and their full proof schemes.

It is a tragedy with more pain to come.

Finance will be Hell, and their wills will be done.

Peter is brilliant--he has been brutally correct all along. Bush and Greenspan brought all this chaos on. It started with irresponsible interest rate policies put in place after the capital wipeout after the tech meltdown.

David Jeffrey is Awesome

David Jeffrey rocks

Yes, dum dum U.S. financial policies drove the world into the worst recession since the depression, but,...lets look at the bright side. Awesome deals coming in terms of real estate and U.S. bought cars. Gotta be contrarian.

Keepin it real with Real T

Bush and Greenspan may have "furthered" the melt down, but it was brought in by the Clinton's with the backing of people like the Community Organizer in Chief. They de regulated Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and basically gave them carte blanche to lend money to everyone whether they were worthy of a loan or not. And any way you look at it, the politicians are merely puppets so it doesn'r matter which one you vote for. They will all follow instructions from the International Bankers who are working towards a one world government in which we will all be sheep for the fleecing.
The next major meltdowns need to happen in the capital cities of the major western nations.
Other wise you might look at your children and see slaves in the making....
