Dennis Lennox, drain commissioner, gets fired

Dennis Lennox, who is currently running for State Representative in Michigan, got fired yesterday from his position as drain commissioner in Cheboygan County, Michigan.

Here's Lennox on Fox. The video explains his mission and plan better than I could:

And here's an update after Lennox managed to get himself canned:

We'll be following Lennox and updating you on his chances and progress.

I don't expect this to snowball.

I hate young conservatives like this kid. All he cares about is being a politician. Let me guess, in between his current studies and running for the House of Representatives, he plans to go to law school. Move him 100 miles north and east and he's on the executive of the Ontario PC Youth; he has applications in at McGill and UofT law.

You might question my cynicism, but kids like this will totally sell you out to get in and stay in all they care about -- power.

This is not even true! Dennis was not fired from his position. The Cheboygan County Commissioners approved putting the elimination of his position to a vote by the citizens at the next general election.

Shame on Fox News for not fact checking!!!

I think this kid is a blowhard. All about media attention. Not once has he done service to his community. He runs in, shows his face, gets a picture taken to prove he was there and moves on. Hes not who I want as a true politican.

He has no job and doesn't pay any taxes on a homestead! His family funds his trips abroad and then he posts pictures of his worldly travels like it really means anything.
