Mike, I can't wait to hear you and Al sound off on this one. Harper has dug his own grave. The media, rightly, is characterizing Conservative governments as ones that run deficits. Game over for the CPC.

I noticed some of that liberal crap in the budget too - social housing, culture, money for CBC programming - and not one penny out of 64 billion for our men in uniform. Really pathetic.

As Steyn has pointed out on numerous occasions, the lack of conservative popularity has gotten to the point where it seems that, all a conservative party can do is beg for permission to be a liberal government once in a while. This "budget" confirms that hypothesis.
