Memo to Stephen Harper: Stack the Senate with as many Conservatives as you can. Eighteen vacancies, 18 loyal Tories to help obstruct the monstrous coalition in the House of Commons.

Besides which, it's too late. The Gov-Gen would probably refuse to appoint people he nominates in the last hours of his prime minstership. What a fool, to let conservative Canadians down like this by stirring the hornets' nest in this way.

But the NDP is opposed to senate appointments, surely a coalition government which hinges on the support of the NDP will not abuse the christmas gift Harper has given them...

I just hope the totally unbiased and neutral, Liberal-appointed Governor General will reject the ridiculous power grab by the three stooges and send us back to the polls. I can afford 30 minutes of my time to vote once more against socialism.
