A focus on the grassroots: Tories and Dippers get working
Two stories from Dr. Greg Elmer's blog.
First the Tory footsoldiers:
Conservative activists are organizing protests in every major city in Canada, in addition to a December 4 all-day protest in front of Rideau Hall, the home of Canada’s Governor-General.
UPDATE: A tip for the anonymous organizers…oh, this too.
From the Facebook Group “Rally - Canadians for Democracy”
“Come out and STOP the Governor General from taking YOUR Government away from you.
Jack Layton and Stephane Dion are going to Walk to Rideau Hall and try to turn your right to democracy into nothing more than a play for power.
Join us Thursday at Rideau Hall to show that Canadians don’t want a government we didn’t vote for IMPOSED on US.
We are going to camp out infront of Rideau Hall to make sure our voice is heard!
When: Thursday, December 4th, from 10 am to 11 pm.
Say no to a Separtist suporrted NDP-Liberal Government, and make sure the GG does to!
Thursday at 11 AM”
And some political jiujitsu from creative New Democrats:
NDP bloggers have usurped the Conservative party’s own “talking points” media campaign to support the proposed coalition government.
