Those Olympics are doing wonders for our foreign policy
I remember Oliver North once saying with baited breath that the North Korea nuclear issue might be settled "for fear of bad ticket sales" to the Olympics. The idea was Communist China would convince North Korea to play ball with the U.S. on the nuclear issue to avoid damage to the Games.
As it turned out, all North Korea did was play us.

North Korea is more of a China problem than ours. I doubt if they like the idea of a wingnut dictator with nukes on their doorstep any more than we do.The best thing we could do is pull the last remnants of U.S. troops out(about 35 thousand I believe)and let them settle it on their own, with the understanding that if they use nukes their country will be turned into a parking lot. Kissing ass does not seem to work.
