Obama and McCain on taxes

The Washington Post published the following chart comparing the tax proposals of John McCain and Barack Obama:

Gr2008061200193

Politically, I'm thinking that this chart is going to benefit Obama more than McCain. While economics might be on McCain's side, the average person (the 60% in the bottom three groups) is definitely going to benefit more from Obama's plan than from McCain's, at least in the short term. Increasing taxes on the top income earners could and probably would have devastating long term impact, but I doubt most people are going to consider that.

But I could be wrong. What do you think?

The economic consequences of Obama's plan are irrelevant to the game of vote buying with a trace of class warfare. Consequences are future opportunities for congressional action (more vote buying). Obama's only life skills are vote buying with stolen loot, what else would you expect? Too bad the fools that vote for him (and his ilk from both parties) have to share those consequences with everyone else.

I actually disagree with their chart. Obama plans to let the tax rates on the lowest bracket go back to 15 from 10%. Those that don't pay taxes won't mind, but the middle class will see a 50% tax increase. I think the liberal WaPo is blowing smoke up our ass.

Obama's plan means as much as his other 'principles' - he doesn't stick to anything, so he would toss this 'plan' the first day in office anyhow. He would require many more billions to put a unicorn in every pot like he's promised.

O'Bama will be bad for freedom and prosperity. On the social front, he will create the illusion that America is going African and that will make the thirty million blacks in the US more restless than they already are.

He will be a puppet stooge for anyone who will love him. He will be loved by our Muslim enemies the most.

On the other hand that old geriatric ego maniac alternative will not have the energy nor the brain power to cover everything that needs to be covered in the USA. Not much of an alternative there, but better than the former.

If he gets Mitt to ride shotgun and appoints the right folks to the right posts, he might have some success.

If O'bama gets in we are in deep shit. I mean to say, Michelle's bitch factor alone is going to make a lot of trouble.

That's what I think.

John,

A small portion of your comment had to be removed. I hope you can understand why.

Best,

Terrence
